Is that leek carbonara very synful @ruby_eskimo? We enjoy pasta but rarely have it with anything other than Bolognese.

Not at all!  I make a standard carbonara and just add a leek to the smoked bacon that I "fry" off.  I make my carbonara the traditional way; by whisking a couple of egg yolks with some grated parmesan (probably about half a HEA) and black pepper, and then add the cooked and drained spaghetti to the egg mixture and mix around until it's all coated.  Sometimes I need a little of the pasta water to loosen it up but not always.  Once the eggs are mixed in, then I toss in the bacon (and leek in this case) and serve.  Takes about 15 minutes to make and goes down a treat with DH.

  • We have had a message to say masks on this week.  If that is all that is needed in addition to the re-instated rules, more than happy to oblige.

Got sent home today, had a funny turn in the woods (forest school). Made it back to school but felt lousy so came home and crashed 🥺 No idea why but also have stomach pains (IBS related). 😷 back to these in school, didn’t stop in shops though.

Did you make the bhajis yourself @bubbs? Someone at my group used to make them with gram flour and they were quite low syn. We often had them for taster sessions but I've not seen her since we moved to new venue. Just thought, we haven't had taster sessions either. At last, a positive outcome of Covid! 😁
