maman said:I love the pics @bubbs but they always make me feel so hungry as you eat earlier than me. Tonight is going to be particularly late as DH won't be home for a while yet. he suggested bringing fish and chips home but I declined. I must check with him if he was just trying to save me work or whether he really fancies some. 🤔
I'm sure you're right that your friend was giving you a back handed compliment @ruby_eskimo but she was a bit clumsy. Next time you meet up you'll be even slimmer but I wonder whether seeing you has motivated her. It's obviously something she thinks about.
I'm still dithering about whether to go to WI tomorrow. The trouble is that if I'm over target tomorrow, I can't see it improving in the next few weeks.
I did some butter beans in the SC yesterday. Ever so easy and I'm sure better value than buying tins. I portioned them up this morning for the freezer. I've had the big bag of dried beans from the Asian supermarket for ages. Roughly speaking they double in weight when cooked so I need to check the prices.
ETA - 400g of dried beans make 1kg+ of cooked beans, so definitely good value.
I've not enjoyed this latest bag of red berries as much this time. There seem to be over many strawberries in it which don't freeze well and aren't sharp enough for me. I suppose it depends which fruit is most plentiful and cheap when they make up the bags. I think I'll buy some raspberries to balance things out a bit.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S)
L- veggie and ham omelette (P,S), pickles (S)
D- SW Bolognese (P,S), pasta (F), HEA2 Parmesan
Syns- 0
Should be weighing this evening, but I genuinely have not got time to go, I am trying to do so many things on a tight timescale that something needs to give and I think WI is the easiest. Things weren't helped by not being home last night until late, went to see Fairytale of New York. Would have been very good if it were not for the idiots in front of me and more another row in front. They clearly knew each other and were out to enjoy themselves, but they managed to ruin it for the rest of us. Some left early because it was kicking off and a heavily pregnant lady beside me had to leave quickly to avoid the viciousness which was escalating. It was so disrespectful of the performers, who despite being distracted, having to start the second half about 15 mins late while staff tried to deal with the problem, acknowledged those who had to leave early and managed to get a subtle dig in about those involved. Emailed a complaint about the way the staff dealt with it, they clearly need to do a review of how to deal with these things, not expecting a reply, but at least I have got it off my chest, as I am sure, have others.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Sorry to hear your night out was ruined @Gettingtherequickly. When are you off to see your mum?🤔
Thanks for putting up with me dithering last night @bubbs. I bit the bullet this morning and went to WI. Great news, I lost half a pound! 😁
I'm now just 2lbs over target, still within range and the best part is that I don't need to go to WI again until after Christmas!! 😁 I'm so pleased I didn't put it off.
I will still stay on plan whenever I can, it just gives me some leeway particularly when eating out. I remember the year I was getting to target at Christmas. I'd gained in the few weeks beforehand (because of crisps and nibbles at parties) but I found Christmas week and Christmas dinner itself so SW friendly that I lost 5.5 lbs at the next WI. My consultant was amazed to see such a good loss at that time of year.
Decided to switch to corned beef hash tonight instead of planned syn free ham. Just because I can. 😉
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), 2 Weetabix HEB, HEA1 milk
L- veggie omelette (P,S), ham (P), pickles (S)
D- corned beef hash (P,F,S and HEA2 cheese topping) with cauli, broccoli, cabbage (S)
Syns- horseradish 1, corned beef 3.50 -

Thanks @bubbs. I'm really delighted. I'd have settled for STS but just being in range is brilliant. I plan to be sensible over the next few weeks and then try hard to lose a couple of pounds in the new year. 😊
Glad you enjoyed Edinburgh @klew356. Hope your dad picks up soon. Not like you to miss a spin class. 🤔
I meant to say that we had self weigh at group today. I don't know if it's something (belatedly) for Covid or what. You just put in your card and the screen gives your weight then you write it down yourself. I liked it. 😊1 -

Evening everyone
Had my booster jab on Wednesday and felt utterly rubbish yesterday, I had a raging temperature and a headache like someone had stuck an axe in my head 😂 Fortunately I’m feeling a lot better today. My arm is still sore but I’ll take a sore arm over how I was feeling yesterday.I’ve bought myself a Lipsy tracksuit from Next online. I had loads of them when I was skinny before, but they now do them in a Curve sizing. I bought a size 20 (I think I would have been okay in the 18- I found some size 16 Lipsy bottoms and they were okay, but I figured that the 20 might be a bit baggier and not as tight. If they’re too big I’ll just return them although they didn’t have the 18 in the pink) I’m going shopping tomorrow in the hope I can get something that’s not a) a tracksuit or b) a jumper and jeggings from Primark as that seems all I have that’s fitting me at the minute- I’ve got one of the size 20 t-shirts on that I bought a few weeks ago that’s heading for dishrag territory already! If I get a bargain- great, if I don’t it’s not the end of the world.Today’s food:
B: Cheese and tomatoes on toast (1/2 HEXA, HEXB +4) HiFi (3)
L: SW meal pot and veg, satsuma
D- Tuna pasta salad. blueberries, yoghurt and choc shot (2)
S: Crisps (6.5)
Syns: 15.5
