Thanks everyone.  I'm sure I'll have a good time!  Not looking forward to being on a plane for 4 hours with a mask on.  Think I'm going to have to buy something to eat on the plane so that I can take if off for a while!

I buy tinned green beans when we're in France; I think they're quite good too.  Tend to use tinned veg when we're away in the motorhome as don't have the freezer space for veg and not a big enough fridge for much fresh veg so tend to just buy salad stuff.

Right, off to sort dinner now.

We enjoyed chicken and chips on Monday @bubbs. It's not something we have often. I usually just pick at LO chicken through the week. Not very mse but this week there seemed to be more than usual left.

Yes, canned vegetables are very popular in France @joedenise. My French niece gave me a recipe for a tin or jar of peas and carrots. It's basically soften and fry a sliced onion then warm it through with the veg and 'juice', adding a tsp of sweetener. It's good with a meal that doesn't have it's own sauce.

I always either buy or take something to eat on planes and usually buy a coffee or tea. Far tastier than food on planes. Usually I have a meal deal with crisps as a holiday treat (Boots is good) but Pret tuna nicoise is more SW friendly. 😉

Morning all, extremely wet and windy here today.

Breakfast this morning was bacon medallions, mushrooms and tomatoes with toast.  Lunch will be the last of the pea and ham soup from the freezer and spaghetti bolognaise with parmesan for dinner.   At the moment no syns planned.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Hi everyone
I got away with it! I STS. I’ll take that 😊
I had my diabetes blood test this morning- the nurse was really happy with me, says I’ve done very well. It’s just the anxious wait for the results now….

When I was in Primarni in Meadowhall  the other day I bought some size 20 jeggings which I rather liked. I’m head to ankle in Primark today-hat, sweatshirt, t-shirt and jeggings which I’m really proud of 😊it’s really weird reaching for the purple stickered hanger though (18-20) I’m used to hunting in vain for the grey stickered hanger (22-24) I bought some more of the jeggings and a hoodie I’ve been after for ages but couldn’t get my size.

I’ve had a naughty couple of days- yesterday was perfect apart from two crackers with Marmite cream cheese while I was waiting for tea to cook and today I had a pork and cranberry sausage roll with my chicken salad for lunch. I’ve given myself the requisite slap on the wrist though (albeit gently as I’ve had both my blood test and flu jab today so my arm is killing me) and I’m back on it. Got some nice lamb shoulder steaks to make my favourite kebab tonight.

    Lots of love xx

Well done @MrsRyan. Keep up the good work and you should have a loss next week. 😊 Some great NSVs with the dress sizes. 👍🏼

It's amazing how much the weather varies across the country @Jellybaby. It was glorious here this morning and it's mild. We had a long walk, the autumn colour was delightful and we sat outside for coffee afterwards. Not as good as @joedenise in the Canaries though where it's sunny and about 22 degrees.

We're having a Christmas lunch with the group of friends we walk with and I put my advance order in today including a cheeseboard. I'm seriously thinking I should go to WI in a week or so so that I have some leeway over Christmas. If I wait until my 8 weeks is up, WI could be right in the middle of festivities. 🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S)
LO- veggie omelette (P,S), ham (P), pickles (S)
D- cottage pie (P,S,F) with HEA2 cheese topping, cauli, broccoli, cabbage (S)
    Syns- 0
