    Hi all
Thanks everyone. I messaged my consultant to check and she messaged me back confirming it was 2 weeks. She knows I’ve been unwell and to be honest I’m a bit cross with her for just leaving it as unauthorised!

That said she is a bit over enthusiastic. She messaged me when I had booked holiday as my friend who takes me was on holiday, and I had no transport and no means of getting to group- she keeps banging on that you have to make ‘time for you’ by coming to group and this message said ‘you aren’t making time for you’ I sent her back a sarcastic message saying that my friend was still on holiday as she was well aware and I would be back when my friend returned unless she wanted to pay £25 per week in taxi fares for me? Funnily enough she didn’t :D:smiley: I’m going back to group this week though so I’ll have a few words and ask her to reset it then.

Spoke to the Dr today and he’s started me on some new meds for my mental health. I’m sick and fed up of feeling like this so I hope they help.

    Today’s food:
B: Cheese on toast (HEXB and A+ 4)
L: SW lunch pot and veg. HiFi bar (3)
D- SW lamb ‘kebab’ couscous (0.5) salad. Blueberries, yoghurt and Choc shot (2)
    S: Crisps (6.5)
    Syns: 16

    Lots of love xx

Morning all, didn't sleep well last night; think I was too warm.  Didn't sleep much after about 4 o'clock and finally gave in and got up about 6.30!

I was definitely p'd off about the duck @bubbs but at least we didn't go hungry as there was plenty of potato & veg!  Meant no LOs though which I'd hoped for but never mind, just had to change the menu plan.  I've had to redo it anyway as had planned to use the LO duck in a couple of our evening meals so had to find something else instead!

Hope the new meds work for you @Mrs_Ryan and that your MH improves over time.

    Today's plan:

    B - baked oats with cherries & raspberries, yoghurt - HEB: S; F; 1
L - jacket potato; cottage cheese; salad leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, pepper, fat free salad dressing - P; S; F
D - cauliflower cheese; chips - HEA2; S; F; 3.5 (cauliflower needs using up; using cheese sauce mix!)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - porridge oats
Syns - cooked fruit 1; cheese sauce mix 3.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, very wet and dark here  I succumbed last night to some cheese and pickles.   Used a lot of syns but hopefully  will pull it back throughout the week.  Will talk myself out of it in future as I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would!

    Today's plan:
    B - f/f Greek yoghurt, berries and 1 x tbsp skinny syrup
L - veggie omelette with pickles (I do love pickles!)
D - baked potato with chilli and salad
    Syns - 0.5 syrup

    Have a good day all.

Morning all!  Well done on the loss @klew356 and hope the new meds start to work for you soon @Mrs_Ryan.  All this talk of duck is making me crave some so might have to pick some up at the weekend, hope it works out better than yours @joedenise

Decided to walk into town last night rather than drive to drop off a parcel and DH decided to come with me.  While I was in the post office he popped into Costa and bought us both a hot chocolate "for the walk home" 😏  By the time we got back there wasn't enough time for the dhal so I just knocked together a quick pasta and sauce with some salad.  Did over 10K steps yesterday and was very tired after getting up early for a workout so slept very well.

Did another work out this morning (my abs are killing me now 😆), followed by some scrambled eggs and ff yogurt with blueberries.  Lunch today is another portion of the lentil and vegetable soup with a slice of bread and then dinner will be mushroom risotto, with enough leftovers to have a portion for lunch on Thursday.

Hope everyone has a good day.

  • Morning all!

Had a busy few weeks as it’s both my parents birthdays then my other half’s dads birthday all in quick succession as well as Halloween and bonfire night. Seems like it’s been non stop meals or celebrating the past few weeks and I’m glad it’s all over and can have a bit of quiet now until Xmas!

1.5 pounds off this morning so I’ve finally broke through the barrier I’ve been stuck at for what seems like ages now of maintains, gains and losing the gains. I think I’m about a pound away from club 10 now that I’m hoping will keep me motivated this week.

I’m really struggling with my anxiety at the moment too which isn’t helping my emotional eating. I’m still coughing though it finally seems to have started to get better (mainly as I’ve self medicated by my other half insisting I start using their asthma steroid preventer inhaler as well as the blue one) but it’s making me really worried about now catching colds and illness generally if I’m facing a month plus of being ill each time and not just a few days. I’ve had to pull out of a stag do I was best woman for as the groom wanted to go to Ireland on st Patrick’s day next year the week before the wedding and I’ve just had to say absolutely no way can I go there with that amount of people and risk.

I can’t believe you got cut off after 2 weeks @Mrs_Ryan! I’m sure it’s used to be 3 or 4 weeks you got. They do seem to have gone very business recently. I’ve noticed all the free membership vouchers are suddenly free membership with a 6 week countdown when you read the t&cs and not just free membership and pay for your first week.

Have to admit it's the first time I've bought duck which has been YS - it was on its' sell by date and I came straight home and put it in the freezer so it should have been alright.  I've got another duck in there but that one was full price and well within its sell by date so hopefully that one will be OK.  Having said that it won't be getting used until January at least as I've already done the plan for this month and for the week in December between our holidays!

The only duck in the plan is, I think, this weekend and that is just duck breast which I bought at the butchers and froze and I've never had a problem with those and I buy those several times a year - they are French ones and we often buy them when we're in France to bring back but need to check whether we're able to now!  I know we can't take meat into France but not sure about the other way round!  If we can't that will be a bit of a pain as we usually bring quite a bit of meat back as the meat over there seems to be much better than what we get here.
