Well done @evilsquid1603. Great loss! 👏🏼
It's good that you have that wedding to look forward to next year. You can lose a lot in 4 months! I often think that things like dress sizes or occasions can be more motivating than numbers. 🤔
I'm sure your DH meant well buying you a hot chocolate @ruby_eskimo. Are you planning to get back to your running again?
I'm not a snacker @Jellybaby but I find it hard when I have to eat dinner early. I suppose it wasn't just the cheese and pickles but crackers too? 🙁
I think you'll be OK bringing European food back from France @joedenise but not sure that you can take food with you as I know you sometimes do have pre prepared meals for the first day or so. I've never cooked a duck from scratch but we love those tins of duck confit and it's something my DH orders most times we're in a restaurant.
I called into Farmfoods this morning and they had Frylight at 99p. Well worth stocking up if you have a branch close by. That's an even better price than Aldi and others where it's often £1.49 or Sainsbury's where it's £2.30!!!😲
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, scrambled eggs (P)
L- cold pork (P), potato (F). fried veg and pickles (S)
D- veggie chilli (P,S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)

Beef was ok last night, a bit dry but realised that I had not changed cooking to low, so only myself to blame, but at least I know inf future. Have all the juices in a container, trying to work out what I can use for as there was the tiniest little bit of fat, so worth keeping. Anyone got any suggestion on a sauce I could make for the meat, think I want to go to BBQ texture with some flavour, but less acidic than BBQ, not asking for a lot!
Denise, forgot about the potential issue with taking food back into UK, I always buy steaks from my mums butcher, they are melt in mouth & he always vac-packs, so no problem about leakage, but now need think about it. Will be going home for a weekend, probably end of month, so will check at airport on way back, if they are selling fresh meat, I will be off to the butcher after ChristmasA smile costs little but creates much0 -
I've checked the Gov.uk website and it seems food for personal use is OK from the EU but not from non-EU countries, so looks like it will be OK to bring back some meat as we usually do! Pork chops are usually really good and great value too. Glad we're coming back on a Saturday rather than a Sunday so will be able to buy meat on the day we're travelling!

Jellybaby said:No crackers @maman DS did me a favour and finished them but I'd already cut the cheese by the time I discovered this. So it could have been a lot worse!0
