Well done @joedenise, you must be chuffed.
Not feeling the love for work today at all. I'm planning a bit of late night shopping after checking on my parents. I'll be in the area anyway so thought I'd kill two birds and all that. Might just crack the present list and that will be another job done.
My treat list for Christmas is always Aldi chilli nuts and a couple bags of crisps! I try to ration some each night but it doesn't always work.
Today's plan:
B - toast HEB, lemon curd (syns? end of a jar in the fridge and something I don't usually eat!)
L - pea and ham soup
D - gammon steak, veggie hash, cauliflower, green beans
Have a good day all.1 -
@Jellybaby lemon curd is 1 syn per tsp/3 syns per Tbs so not too high.
Morning all, another dry one but not very bright. Have put out a load of washing but don't think it will do much as it is just hanging there because there's no breeze at all!
Currently cooking a curry to take with us for dinner tomorrow night as won't have time to do it in the morning. I've got an injection in my shoulder under ultrasound and have to be at the hospital 8.15am and it's a good hour's drive at that time in the morning so looks like we'll have to be leaving around 7am! Will need to set an alarm to make sure we're up in time. DH has to take me as apparently I mustn't drive after it! Don't remember that after I had the other shoulder done several years ago. Would have had to be an evening appointment if it was the case as DH was still working then!
I was going to cook a chicken curry but as I got one of the £1.50 fruit and veg boxes from Lidl yesterday I've changed that to an aubergine dhansak as there were a couple of aubergines in it and I already had one which I'm planning on using with mince tonight.
Today's plan:
B - porridge, fruit - HEB; F (only had banana or grapes as forgot to defrost any)
L - LO jerk beef stew, mash - P; S; F
D - something with mince but not sure what yet! Will need to incorporate an aubergine that needs using up!
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - possibly a couple of rum & ginger beers or G&Ts
Have a good day everyone.

Hope the injection isn't too painful but does the trick @joedenise. 🤗
It's probably too late for tonight but talk of aubergines got me thinking how much I've missed Turkish food in the past couple of years. Turkish musakka isn't layered like the Greek one but it's really lovely. The trouble is that it's so hard to resist mopping up the sauce with loads of bread.

It's been a strange day here @bubbs. It started off quite foggy but we drove about 40 miles away for Remembrance and the weather got better and better. It was really mild and sunny. DH suggested having lunch out but I politely refused. If I'd known earlier I could have organised some sort of picnic as the weather was so good.
I know you were finishing off the lemon curd @Jellybaby but if you like it, there is a Slimming World version. I've never made it myself but people used to rave about it in my group. This one uses quark but I've heard of it made with fromage frais too.

Change of plan for dinner tonight! Neither DH nor I felt particularly hungry after a fairly big lunch and DH didn't actually have his until about 3pm as he was out at golf. So we ended up with @maman's favourite when her DH is out - egg & chips, plus a few beans which were left from a couple of days ago.
Thanks for the good wishes everyone.
