    Thanks, beanie.
We were only there one night but managed to pack plenty in- went for a wander round Harvey Nicks (oh how the other half live) and St James Quarter (where I spent £145 in Victoria’s Secret… oops) and we had cocktails in the brand new Alchemist. We went for dinner in Greyfriars Bobby pub and then for drinks in Frankensteins bar before going on the Ghost Bus tour.

Morning all, just catching up quickly as yesterday was another crazy, stressful day at work and it was nearly 8pm when I logged off (should finish around 4.30ish).  It's not the work that's particularly stressful it's my colleagues, one in particular who would give any soapwriter a run for their money!

@Gettingtherequickly sorry to read about your mum and I echo everyone else, looking after yourself too is really important.   Mrs Ryan glad you had a good break and hope you can sort out work.  Great loss @lushlifesaver, I'm either coming to live with you or Bubbs    I need to go catch up properly so apologies if I've missed anyone.

Electrician due today to do a number of jobs so not sure how long the power will be off for or when.

B - banana and coffee don't feel particularly hungry yet
L - hopefully lentil soup if not, ham salad sandwich and fruit
D - chicken and chorizo paella, broccoli and green beans to use up
    Syns - I'm guessing 4 for chorizo

    Have a good day all!

@Jellybaby - chorizo is 3.5 syns per 25g so you'll need to weigh how much you actually use to work out the syns remembering to divide the total by however many portions you get.  I tend to use about 40g-50g for the 2 of us so it varies between 3-3.5 syns but well worth it for the flavour - I also add quite a bit of paprika to up the flavour a bit more.  Have to say last night's paella was lovely!

Bit later than usual this morning but been a bit busy with housework as don't want to leave it all until tomorrow with going away although not going until after lunch as have our booster jabs at 1.30pm so with a bit of luck we'll get away by just after 2pm and get parked up by 3-3.30pm so at least it'll still be light.

    Today's plan:

B - scrambled eggs, toast - HEB; P (no spinach in the inside freezer and couldn't be bothered to out to the outside one!)
    L - prawn & smoked salmon salad - P; S; 0.5
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, beans, corn on the cob followed by SW carrot cake - P; F; 6

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - salad dressing 0.5; 5g butter 2; carrot cake 4

Have added up syns so far this week and am doing well - still have 20+ left.

    Have a good day everyone.

@joedenise, 🤞 coming in under syns shows at WI.

It worked for me. 😁 I went to WI this morning, lost half a pound so still in range! I'm delighted.

Straight after WI, we went for a walk with friends and coffee afterwards. It was a friend's birthday so DH asked me to buy some cupcakes for a bit of a celebration. Normally I'd have declined but joined in to show willing. 13 syns! For one cake! But I suppose others would think the same about me 'wasting' syns on a glass of wine. 🤣

    Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk
L- veggie omelette with beetroot and cornichons (P, S)
    D- chicken jambalaya (P, S, F)
    Syns - 13!!!🤣

Somehow lost the beginning of the my post.

Hope you have a less stressful day today @Jellybaby. Well done for staying on plan despite everything (or should that be everyone ☹️) at work. 🤗

Brilliant @maman.  So pleased for you, well done 👏👏👏.

But you could have 2 glasses of wine for 13 syns, 🤣🤣🤣!  I know what I'd rather have!

Going to carry on being good until next week as I think that's when my 8 weeks are up!  I've been sticking to no more than 15 a day this week (one day was 15.5 syns)!  Will do the same next week.  We're out for a meal on Saturday but will probably be somewhere like 'spoons so I know I can get a steak and jacket with salad and dressing on the side so won't use many syns, perhaps 1 for the dressing!
