We're going to our usual weekend place - Canterbury.  Was going to go to Sissinghurst but that's on grass and our motorhome is 4.5 tonne so don't want to get stuck on wet grass!  The forecast is for rain for the whole weekend!

We can only go until Sunday and DH has dentist and I've got my Orthopaedic appointment on Monday.  Will know then whether treatment is going to cost me less than £200 or about £6000 eek!!!

Good luck for WI on Saturday @bubbs!  Has your DH twigged you're using a smaller plate yet?

Well hope it's not too wet!

    Fingers crossed for Monday.

No he has not, it is a dinner plate but a normal size dinner plate 😂 we had these when we were first together 34 years ago, i still have all of them :D but not dishes or side plates.

My car has MOT tomorrow and i suspect something is wrong back passenger side as started making a random noise on Monday, more expense!

    Evening everyone
The GP has signed me off for two weeks. He was very good, and asked what was being done for when I go back. I explained that my union rep was dealing with it and that my manager’s boss had been helpful, and he seemed happy enough.
He said though that I need to try and do normal things- get out the house and stuff to take my mind off work, as it would be therapeutic to my mental health. I had to go and post some parcels today and I went to M&S and got some teriyaki sauce for salmon teriyaki tomorrow. Found the recipe in an old SW mag. I also got some Choc Shot- this stuff is so difficult to find! I tried 3 shops before googling it and found Holland and Barrett stocked it, luckily I was nearby and picked some up- it was on offer as well which was a bonus. I bought a hoodie dress from Primark to try and cheer myself up but I was shocked when I got it home- it’s flipping enormous 😂I think I should have sized down but I’m still in the mindset that a smaller size won’t fit. Fortunately I can layer underneath.

    Today’s food:
B: Bacon sarnie (HEXB +6) HiFi bar (3)
Snack: Hoisin duck sushi (0.5) Chicken tasters thing (0.5) Fridge Raiders (3.5) Apple and Strawberry pot (free)
L: SW meal pot and veg
D- Super Speedy Spag Bol- made with two different types of onions, peppers, fresh chopped garlic, a whole punnet of baby mushrooms, 2 x tinned tomatoes, 5% mince plus my secret ingredient- a splash of Jalapeño Tabasco and a splash of Worcester sauce. Served with a salad and some whole-wheat spaghetti. Chocolate (4.5)
S: Hot chocolate made with HEXA milk measured out, and 3 tsps of Choc Shot (1.5)
    Syns: 19.5

Night all. Lots of love xx

@MrsRyan - why don't you return the dress and get a smaller size?  It might actually make you feel better about being a size smaller.  Good that you've got an understanding GP; if things don't get sorted at work don't be afraid to go back to the GP and get signed off for longer.  I had a similar problem many years ago and ended up being signed off for nearly 2 years because nothing changed.  Fortunately I was only 3 months off retirement age by then so just retired early!  Had to wait a couple of years until I got my state pension but had my work pension from my 60th birthday.

Morning all, can't believe how windy it is this morning!  Glad I won't be out walking in it!

I weighed this morning and can't believe I've gone out of target again!  It really doesn't seem to work for me if I don't have all my syns.  @bubbs do you think could be your problem with not losing too?  I have to go to WI next week and think if I'm out of target I'm going to knock it on the head and just stick with the thread!

    Today's plan:

    B - porridge; mixed frozen fruit; frozen cherries - HEB; S; F
    L - spanish omelette - P; S;
    D - beef in black bean sauce; noodles - P; S; F; 4

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
Syns - 100g black bean sauce 4; couple of rum & ginger beer 5

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Well done Mrs R on having a supportive GP, hopefully work will follow through also, and amazing result on the purchase!

Considering the last week or so that I have had, I will take the 1lb gain as a win :) Not walking tomorrow, so going to do a good batch cook & freeze, that will keep me on track for the week :)

Enjoy the weekend away Denise, oh to be able to take off like that :(
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Missed catching up yesterday due to another long busy day at work.  Also missed breakfast and lunch so by the time dinner rolled round I was ravenous!  Thankfully DS made loads of paella so despite scoffing an extra big portion there's loads left for lunch today    I didn't get a chance to weigh the chorizo but have plenty of syns to play with so should be OK

All electrical jobs now done and I've organised the boiler service for the end of next week so another job ticked off - I love a list!

    Todays plan:
B - 40g cheerios HEXB, ff Greek yoghurt, last of strawberries
    L - l/o paella and veg
D - Beef stir fry to use up remaining veg

Told boss I'm finishing early  so off to write a shopping list in the last five mins of my coffee break - fridge is literally bare!

    Have a good day all
