Morning all. Just popping in to say well done on the loss @lushlifesaver
I'm officially declaring "woman down"; barely made it through the signature bakes on Bake Off last night before I had to take myself to bed. Woke up feeling even worse this morning and no appetite to lots of fluids for me today (good job I have some soup in the fridge if I need it). Hoping 2 days of rest will help it leave my system; it's our wedding anniversary on Friday and DH has apparently planned a day out so would be a shame to have to cancel that.
Right I'm off to sit on the sofa and probably sleep a bit more. Hope you all have a good day!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Hi all!
back from London and have a 2lb gain which I’ll take considering what we ate! Tried my best but was mostly just breakfast that I could get mainly on plan but the rest was eating out for every meal and the wedding so could have been much worse. We did a lot of walking though so get some body magic in.Houses of Parliament wedding was fun but rather odd wandering the corridors of a place like that after a few gins and in bare feet 🤣My motivation has been waning with not being able to WI at the gym properly with their scales being being broke then me being ill and I thinks it’s lulled me into a false sense of security with not being totally honest on what I’ve been having. I’ve been doing too many cheeky green days for more cheese so I’ve re read the books and magazine and been listening to old episodes of the podcast again and trying to get my SW head back on properly. Also bought some scales for home so I can now do WI no matter what and will use the gym ones for the other readings when I’m there. These scales also do stones and pounds so I’ve switched back to that than kg, I have no mental reference point for kg so the number means nothing to me at all but seeing it in stones and pounds again has spurred me on a bit more as I know I’m still well over where I’d like to be. I was really hoping to get my 2st before xmas but with the last few weeks and this gain I’m back to 1st 1lb lost so will be a hill to climb now but still doable.I think I’ve also settled into that stage where you’re a few months in and have your new favourite on plan meals and snacks and just eat them over and over and over again as it’s easy to and then end up feeling like if you see another baby cucumber you’ll throw it at the wall so I’ve looked up some more new recipes to try.0 -
@evilsquid1603 you could still get your 2 stone by Christmas as there's still about 8 weeks ago so it's about 1.5lb a week ( that would leave you lb short). Glad you had a good time in London and plenty of body magic. Good idea to buy your own scales if the gym ones are broken. I'm with you on the Kg; I use them for cooking but not for weighing myself!

Well done Lush, I could only dream of that!
Have had the stuffing knocked out of me, my mum was given 3 years to live 13 1/2 years ago and has been told it is backAs we all live here and she is in Ireland, we are having to co-ordinate so that there will be someone with her most of the time. Luckily, my sister is being redundant on Friday, so that gives my brother and I a bit of breathing space, as we both work for small companies. I just hope that we can get the best out of what we have. I could have gone off the rails, but having been so angry with our client last week and used food as a crutch, I have been 100% on plan since and feeling better for it.

Hi everyone
Lots to catch up on!I’ve been struggling not with food or SW but with my health- had a really distressing experience with my manager at work and enough was enough. I’ve been on planned annual leave but I haven’t gone back- I’m waiting for an appointment with the GP for a sick note- work related stress. Had a couple of panic attacks just at the thought of work so things just a little bit much at the mo. Didn’t go to group this morning as I just can’t face people right now. Sent my consultant an honest WhatsApp saying really sorry, mental health not good and I’m off sick from work with it. Sorry to hear as well so many people are poorly- hope you all feel better soon. ❤️The 1.5 stone not a typo- I lost a stone by myself before I went back to SW. I’ve lost 2.5 in total but 1.5 with SW 😊
So I finally bit the bullet and bought some smaller clothes. I got a lovely outfit from River Island for the Steps gig I’m off to next month- one size smaller but the jeans fit like a dream, which I’m surprised at as they aren’t my usual RI jeans and aren’t as stretchy. I also got some bits from Yours- all size 20, three tops and three pairs of leggings. I knew the leggings should fit as I have some from there in that size already which do fit- and as predicted they’re okay. The tops however- grrr. One is fine- its flattering and fits how it’s supposed to. One was advertised as oversized- it’s not oversized at all! It’s see through and clingy so I’ve had to put a shapewear vest underneath. I think these are going to last me a while as they fit okay but just about.I’ve been away to my mum’s, to Edinburgh with my sister and on an unscheduled detour to Sheffield on Sunday to watch a celebrity charity football match. While in Edinburgh I wore a pair of leather look leggings that when I bought them were so tight I couldn’t sit down in them. I had to buy another pair from somewhere else in a bigger size. I wore the smaller pair in Edinburgh on Friday night and they were flapping 😂
I ate some gorgeous food while I was away. Had a sandwich in first class on the train, then we went for food Friday evening and I had smoked salmon and oatcakes to start, and a beef and potato stew for main complete with crusty bread and real butter for dipping. I had a sausage bagel for brekkie on Saturday and a Nando’s for tea on Sunday (burger chips and coleslaw! I hovered over the healthy option and thought nah I need a treat!) Went back on plan yesterday and doing okay. There seems to be a small loss on the scales at home this morning which is good. I have a full week this week to pull things back- I would love to get into the new stone bracket this week. If I do that I will be very close to the magic 40 BMI- my diabetic blood test is on the 20th November and I want to see the look on the nurses face (who was quite confident I wouldn’t lose any weight and wouldn’t bring my blood sugar down) when I tell her how much weight I’ve lost since I got diagnosed!Today’s food:
B: Blueberries, 0% natural Greek yoghurt, HiFi bar (3)
L: Scrambled eggs and tomatoes on HEXB toast (4 for spread)
D- Tuna pasta salad. Chocolate (4.5)
S: Crisps (6.5) maybe a 0% gin and dandelion and burdock (0.5)
Syns: 17.5
Lots of love to everyone xx*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.202 -
Sad news about your mum @Gettingtherequickly. Good to hear that your sister will be able to offer support and hope you can fit in a visit very soon. 🤗
Reading your post, and @evilsquid1603 and @MrsRyan, it does show that we feel better when on plan. It's not just the prospect of getting the weight off but being back in control and feeling healthier.
🤞that you feel better by Friday @ruby_eskimo. This super cold seems to go on and on. ☹️
Sounds like you're already losing inches @MrsRyan and I so know what you mean about stones and pounds @evilsquid1603 . Like @joedenise, I weigh food in metric and measure length the same but it doesn't cut it for WI. It got me thinking about those sort of sandbag things they used to have at group. Do they still exist? 🤔
Well done on the fantastic buys at the Company Shop @bubbs. Bargain!! 😁
WI for me tomorrow. I don't feel any different after a low syn week but que sera. If I'm not in range I'll just have to plod on until it happens as I have a couple of meals out next week so any gain won't go quickly.
Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA 1 milk, berries (S)
L- ham (P), fried vegetables, beetroot, cornichons (S)
D- SW Bolognese (P, S), pasta (F), HEA 2 Parmesan
Syns - 00 -
My old consultant said that weren't allowed to use those rubbery "fat" things any more so don't know if it's the same with the sandbag things - certainly not seen them for a very long time! The consultant tends to talk about the number of bags of sugar you've lost rather than anything else!
Loads of bargains @bubbs! I do wish there was a company shop near me although not sure whether I'd be eligible.

GTQ, sorry to hear about your mum , sending huge hugs your way x
Mrs R , ahhhhhh knew it was 2.5 st 😁 and hope your MH gives you some respite, don't be afraid to talk 💕
My diabetic nurse could not believe it when i went back for 3 month check, almost 3 stone had gone and she said wish everyone listened to me. I said i know the complications and don't want any 😁
Maman just finished bagging the meat and got it in the freezer, got my friend a massive bag full too. We said bet there won't be much we will have a trolly between us........uh hoooooo was a mistake it was over flowing 🤣 so i went and got another and we sorted before we got to the till.
We literally had a trolley full each and that was £63 between us! I also got 4 bottles of Tesco washing liquid for clothes, £1 bottle!!
My friend said something is going on in the corner (where the reduced is) so we went over and that's where we got the mini chicken fillets, lamb(so lean this is, think i will make a Balti with it) and pork fillets, all organic and priced £5!
Chicken drummers were 60p for a big pack, so i will be having those for KFC this week 😁
I was so so pleased.
Denise see if you are eligible and when you are on your travels look and see if one is near where you are 😁Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
