  • good evening,

    today went ok, I think:
breakfast - melon, tea (hea milk)
lunch- crackerbreads (4) with fat free cottage cheese and melon
    in between - 2 party rings (2)
tea- mash (1.5) broccoli, carrots, pork steak (no fat) and onion gravy (onion, stock, 20g plain flour - 4 syns, served 4 adults so 1)
evening - tea (milk from hea) and a cupcake i bought 8.5 according to the app

due to my weight consultant has said up to 20 syns a day so I'm at the top end here although obviously a cupcake isn't an every day occurrence. weigh in in 2 days so we will see how its gone I guess

lushlifesaver you still didn;t have full syns and that's what there there for.

I was over yesterday but i am trying to have more but not had the all today so makes up for yesterday, although i have just had 3 crackers 1 syn each and 3 babybel light hexa as been hankering after something for the last hr and finally given in. Smaller plate might not work, will try again tomorrow 😂

I think I just feel a bit over indulgent when I'm not using them on proper 'meals' if that makes sense?

You're right not to go hungry @bubbs and the snack you had was on plan so all good. 👏

@MrsRyan has the higher syns allowance at the moment too @lushlifesaver and it does work so don't worry. Nothing wrong with having a cupcake if you enjoyed it. Syns are there for just that reason.

If anyone can keep plodding then it's you @beanielou. Just keep reading and posting and you'll get your mojo back when your head is in the right place. 😊

Morning all, up earlier than usual this morning.  Think DH  disturbed me when he got up.  I did manage to go back to sleep for only for about half an hour.  No point in just laying there so got up.

Have rejigged my menu plan for today as don't fancy what I'd planned for breakfast!

@lushlifesaver you really do need to use those syns - they are part of the plan and it's certainly not an indulgence to use them.  The cupcake was well within your syns so definitely not worth worrying about being indulgent!  Sometimes I wish I had enough syns to have a cake but usually don't especially at weekends!  Having said that I'm going to make a SW friendly carrot cake, probably tomorrow as I need to buy some quark to make the frosting!  Will have to work out the syns once I've made it but think I can do it for about 2.5 syns a slice which isn't too bad.  Depends how many slices I can get out of it so might be 2 might be 3.

    Today's plan:

    B - ham and veg omelette - P; S
    L - Welsh rarebit - HEA2; HEB; P; F
    D - LO vegetable tagine; herby couscous - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - Saint Chocolate & coconut bar 4.5; may also have a couple of Ryvita & Primula Light 5

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.  Still full of cold and then star week arrived yesterday too so definitely feeling sorry for myself now.  Haven't weighed in this morning because I knew it would be a gain thanks to all the excess fluid I'm holding on to and didn't want to depress myself even more 😆

Just about to have some weetabix for breakfast, then lunch is going to be leftover vegetable hash from yesterday's dinner, topped with a fried egg.  Dinner is probably going to be carbonara with salad and mushrooms on the side for me.

Hope you all have a good day, I'm off for weetabix and a lemsip.

Probably a good idea to put off your WI @ruby_eskimo. You'll get a more accurate picture without the water retention. Hope your cold goes away very soon. 😊

Until I prepped it yesterday, I didn't realise what a large cauliflower I'd bought this week. So, I'm making a cauliflower and broccoli cheese today.  I can make the sauce with less than 3 x HEAs (shared) so no syns involved. The other part HEA is for my drinks today.

I'm out for lunch tomorrow but won't use many of the 30+ syns I have left. I'll be driving so no wine involved. 😇 My friends always have something small and snacky like paninis but I'll probably have a prawn cocktail or other salad so just some mayo involved. I really don't enjoy too much bread even if I have the syns to use.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, baked beans (F), fried egg, bacon (P), HEB toast, half HEA milk for drinks
    L- ham (P), 1 potato (F), fried veg, beetroot, cornichons (S)
D- baked salmon (P), cubed potatoes (F), cauli and broccoli cheese (S + HEAs), carrot cubes, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- 0

That's good service from your dentist @bubbs. Lasagnes look great and some for the freezer. 😊

I forgot to post 1 syn of cornflour in my dinner. Fortunately, plenty to spare this week.
