Good morning all,
It was a stay the same this week, predictable but there we go. last night was my mothers birthday where we had a roast chicken dinner including yorkies and broccoli cheese. Then chocolate birthday cake and ice cream. Do I feel guilty? Absolutely not.
I did go for a ten minute walk when I got home, I felt so full it was nice for a bit fresh air!
B fruit and fibre ss milk
L lentil soup, boiled eggs space raiders and a slice of ham – random
D – ping meal 321 kcals
The rest of the week I am having ratatouille with chicken – feeling uninspired at the moment so going to spend some time before next weeks meal plan searching for some new ideas. The soup is working well on a lunch time though. I think it is the transition between summer to winter evening meals
also got the start of a cold, the tingle in the back of the throat. i did a lft last night it was negative, i haven't actually got any covid symptoms so hopefully it wont progress.

Ok so I have joined at group and registered online and got the app etc.
One quick question - I making thai red curry tonight for the adults on the app it has the syn value for the whole 253g pack so as it serves two I'm presuming it's correct to just half it for my portion?
Ever so slightly over my syns today just due to poor planning on my own part but I'm going to nip to Morrisons and get some semi skimmed milk (the others have whole), melon and some alpen lights then the greek yogurt we have in is for cooking so will syn that and most other things are syn free.
just going to take it one day at a time************************************

Yes, that's right @lushlifesaver. The syns are for the whole pack when it's written like that. What brand is it? 🤔
I was thinking about your paprika chicken and I think it's probably only 2 syns per portion. The only HEA you posted yesterday was some tea with milk. That means you have (at least) another HEA left. Full fat milk is 200mls for a HEA plus 1.5 for the extra 50mls you used. So, unless I missed something, 14 syns in total for 7 portions.
Incidentally, I hope you had more liquid than just the one cup of tea which I'm sure you did. Plenty of water (or other drinks) certainly helps. Not alcoholic unfortunately. 😉
That's great that you had no unpleasant surprises for your starting weight. Onwards and upwards. You could easily be half a stone lighter during this Countdown. 😁
It's overcast and windy here but the rain seems to have blown over with it. Definitely the weather for hearty food. Hope you got everything you needed @joedenise. If you use click and collect does it mean you always know in advance whether the item is in stock?🤔
It's so difficult to tell the difference with this super cold and so many potential Covid symptoms listed too. Very responsible to have a test @klew and your DH @ruby_eskimo.😊
I made some extra mash for the cottage pie today and turned my LO veg into bubble & squeak. The mash is a mixture of potato, BNS and carrot so a lovely colour, healthier and the BNS seems to make it much smoother too.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S)
L- cold pork (P), bubble & squeak (F,S), beetroot (S)
D- cottage pie (P,F,S, HEA2 cheese topping), cauli, broccoli, cabbage (S)

Not really sure @maman about whether just because you can order it means it's in stock but did actually get everything I ordered with the C&C! Noticed as we were driving in that they had Gordons on Clubcard price of £16 per litre so picked a couple of bottles up - certainly not going to be running out anytime soon! At that price it's worth buying and keeping in the cupboard - that was £4.50 per bottle off!
BNS is brilliant for making mash smooth. I also like to grate some and freeze it to use in curries for a bit of sweetness, particularly in butter chicken - I freeze in about 150g portions so easy to just grab a portion when I need it. Also means the BNS doesn't get wasted, don't always want to use a whole one.
The salmon fishcakes were lovely at lunchtime, even DH enjoyed them and he's not keen on salmon unless it's smoked!
Glad you weren't too surprised with your initial weigh in @lushlifesaver. I think @maman is probably right about the paprika chicken but I didn't take the milk into consideration as part of your HEA as you might not always have that available when you have extra portions so perhaps write on your frozen packs the syns per portion for both with and without using part HEA! Thanks for the info about no calendar yet but suspect the November magazine isn't out yet - certainly still the October one in the shop at the moment.

I am horrifically bad at drinking enough, that's definitely one big thing I need to work on. Mr aka upgrade noticed it in his two weeks down between his last contract and this one and keeps pulling me up on it as he drinks water and coffee constantly************************************

yes lushlifesaver you need to make sure you drink.
It seems odd to me when people don't drink as I am naturally a big drinker even my dh says can't believe how much I drink . IE about 31/2-4 ltrs easy a day, when it's hot dread to think 😂
Tea was no actually 3 syns as a portion left so 2 syns , I'm going to whizz the other up and have beef and veg soup 😜
