Morning all, that baked apple looks better than the one I made last week! Couldn't eat all of mine as it wasn't cooked all the way though even though it had collapsed!
DH has gone off to golf so going to do a bit of crafting later once the housework is done.
Today's plan:
B - baked oats - HEB; S; 1
L - carrot, coriander and lentil soup - P; S; F
D - garlic butter pork chop; mash; green beans & peas - P; S; F; 2
HEA - milk
HEB - oats
Syns - cooked raspberries 1; butter 2
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all! It's been a busy few days and not all on plan but I managed a maintain this week which isn't so bad considering all the not very SW friendly food I've consumed in the last 6 days between meals with friends, lunch out on Wednesday, beige buffet on Thursday, and lots of tea and cake over the weekend. DH has also been a bit under the weather the last few days with this cold that's doing the rounds and I think I may be starting to pick it up too, so lots of comforting food this week I think.
Breakfast this morning was porridge with apple and blueberries, and back on to the almond milk as I like it in porridge. Lunch is going to be miso soup with lots of added veggies (courgette, onion, radish and mushrooms) plus some leftover beef from yesterdays roast and a bit of tofu added in for good measure, so more like a soybean stew than a soup really. Dinner is going to be macaroni cheese thanks to some odds and ends of different cheeses that a friend dropped off at our house (he's going away this week and didn't want to throw away what was left of a cheeseboard he had on Friday), so will serve with a nice salad.
Right off to make some lemsip to try and stop this cold before it starts. Hope you all have a good day.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Have work to do this week to maintain
Was walking on Saturday, breakfast is generally ok when we go, Sat was an egg & tomato roulade type thing, with home made Irish soda bread, followed by fruit & yoghurt with cinnamon (very Egyptian to have something sweet with breakfast) lunch was fine as I had taken some spice beef out of the freezer, one portion between us, but dinner, well let's just say there were syns involved! Ended up having an Indian, which I have got to say was very nice and did not have the food swimming in oil. The service & the staff in there were fantastic, shame about the other table (it was early for dining, but had a very heavy footfall for takeaways, so must be a good place) being so loud. Had an M&S spiced ice bun later, felt really guilty
On the plus side, I ended up so full that I ate very little yesterday and everything I did eat was SP, so hopefully that will help a little, especially as I am meeting a friend on Wednesday which will involve food and is night before weigh in

Hello too all the faces/names I know already and the new! How are you all?
I continue to struggle with my weight/body image and my mum has kindly said she would like to pay for me to return to SW group. I haven't been to group etc for years and really think i need to count this as a brand new opportunity and forget everything that has come before.
Quick life update for any who remember - I left the, not very nice (to put it nicely) ex in 2018 (still not divorced, whole other tale) but met my new partner in 2019, lost a little weight with WW but did not get on with it 100%, tried calorie counting on my own with varying success but ultimately not got where i want to be. we've had a little boy who is now 8 months old and I really need to fix my relationship with food and my self image asap for the kids as well as myself as I'm pretty sure I'm now the heaviest I've ever been
And so I am here, i used to find great support here so I'm hoping I'm welcome back! Going to work with what I know for now until I speak to mum and sort out a membership etc************************************

Welcome @lushlifesaver. I remember you from before. That's really kind of your mum to support you by paying for SW membership for you.
Please feel free to post your menu plans daily if it would help you and also if you need syn values before going back to group just ask. You'll still get the great support you got before!
Not sure whether you know that you now get 2 HEAs and 1 HEB every day as I can't remember exactly when that was introduced but thought I'd mention it just in case this is new for you! But remember you don't have to use both HEAs every day if you don't want to but it's great when you want to have cheese and milk on the same day!
Good luck.

Of course I remember you @lushlifesaver and welcome back😊. Congratulations on your new addition to the family. It's great that your mum is supporting you and hopefully your new partner is behind you too. I remember one of your problems previously was that your ex was very fussy (amongst other things😉) and you often had to cook separate meals for yourself to stay on plan. Like @joedenise said, just ask if there's anything you need.
There is definitely a 'super cold' doing the rounds at the moment @ruby_eskimo, hope you and your DH don't suffer too much. You did well to STS after all the recent social occasions. Your menu is very autumnal with porridge and soup back on the menu. 😋
Hopefully your walking will offset some of the synful weekend food @Gettingtherequickly. It's a good sign that your meal wasn't swimming in oil. I know some of the Indian restaurants around here actually advertise that they use Frylight/low fat meals but I've not tried any of them yet.
I'm using up some turkey mince that's been in the freezer forever to do turkey rissoles today. It's an old recipe that I've adapted to make sort of burgers and I use dried herbs.
Recipe: Lindsey Bareham’s turkey rissoles with cucumber salad | Times2 | The Times
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), fried eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk, mushrooms, tomatoes (S)
L- cold pork (P), beetroot, fried veg (S) 1 potato (F)
D- turkey rissoles (P,S,F), potato cubes, mushy peas (F), spicy cauliflower, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
