Morning all, another dry day but not very bright at the moment, hopefully it'll brighten up later. Looking forward to getting away for a few days. We might have to stay an extra night or two as the road from where we're staying home is being closed for roadworks for the whole weekend! Our alternative is an 80 mile diversion so not sure what we'll do yet. Will make a decision later. Will need to buy some food while we're away if we decide to stay the extra days. Not sure how much I'll get on over the weekend.
Lots of things you could do with the mince @klew. How about chilli, keema curry, shepherds pie?
I remembered to weigh this morning and pleased to say I have lost 0.5lb so that much inside top end of target!
Today's plan:
B - kedgeree - P; S; F
L - chicken & piccalilli sandwich - HEB; P; 3 (if in the van, otherwise we'll eat out so who knows what!)
D - beef casserole, mash - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread?
Syns - butter 3.5; picalilli 0.5? This may change of course! Alcohol will probably be involved this evening but not sure what yet!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning! I had a small skinny latte from Starbucks yesterday. No idea syns but glad to say no cakes passed my lips. My mother is a horrendous feeder though constantly offering food!
DS and I cleaned the windows inside and out last night and managed to plant up some shrubs in tubs to give a bit of colour going into winter - then sod's law the rain came on, heavy!
Was hoping for a quieter day to day but think work is going to be pretty full on. Food is going to be
B - 45g bran flakes HEB, ff Greek yog, berries
L - tomato and red pepper soup
D - steak, SW chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions
Syns - none planned
0 -
At least the rain will water the shrubs in Jelly.
I don’t blame you haveing an extra day away Denise….might as well pay for an extra night somewhere rather than petrol going the long way home.
I filled the sas log in for yesterday and it did indeedy keep me focussed
Breakfast - scrambled egg with mushrooms mixed in.
dinner - ham and some salad…..might have a heb. (I planned a heb yesterday but didn’t have it in the end) and hea cheese.
tea - left over stew from yesterday with beetroot
snacks - a 5 syn biscuit or chocolate bar and fruit.
I had my flu jab yesterday and feeling totally rubbish today…….I’m usually fine afterwards 🤔😵💫January spends - £587.580 -
Hoping for a reasonable loss this evening, although with my track record will be lucky if I do 1/2lb! Hope it is more as going to theatre tomorrow & eating Chinese beforehand, at least I will have time to reverse it!
Had a trip to optician yesterday, £500 lighter when I came outThe staff were giving first aid to someone when I went in, talk about a truly obnoxious person, was so abusive to the paramedic and she refused treatment, only because the paramedic refused to give her what she wanted. Was clearly looking for a fix of some sort as I actually watched her suck the helium out of the helium balloons she had. Paramedic left and then came back to advise that she was to stop calling for an ambulance as there is not actually anything wrong with her, (obviously been told that by control when she radioed through after visit), then boy did the patient let her have it with both barrels, would not listen to reason. Was one of those situations when I truly wanted to go in and defend/support the paramedic, but had to keep out of it because it probably would have made it worse. The NHS work their butts off and then there are idiots like her who make life hell for no reason whatsoever, other than a tantrum because they can't have what they want.
A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Good luck for tonight GTQ. Enjoy the Chinese tomorrow. That episode sounds horrendous but best you didn’t get involved.
We we’re out at lunchtime and I had her chicken and salad so not too many syns.

Well done on your loss @joedenise. Great to be in range. 👏👏👏 Have a good break. 😊
A very unpleasant incident @Gettingtherequickly although I think you were right not to intervene. 🤞 for later.
Glad to hear the SAS log is helpful @milann. Good menu today. I always have my HEB at breakfast time.
I don't think there would have been many syns in your latte @Jellybaby as you can count the milk as HEA. Well done for resisting cake. 😁
My fridge drawer is so empty that I washed it down today and cleaned the veg baskets in the cupboard all ready to start afresh tomorrow when I've done my shop. I've just got a couple of peppers left to plan into next week's meal plan after we've eaten tonight. It's not often I get so low.
Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), kippers (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham (P), hash and beetroot (S)
D- chicken casserole (P, S, F) with greens (S)
Syns - cornflour 1, kippers? They have a bit of butter so need to look them up. 🤔
ETA - 1.5 for kippers 😋0 -
Maman, I love an empty clean fridge space - all ready to fill up again😉
I didn’t have my heb with my salad….I had a couple of HIfi bars instead and a 2 syn malted milk biscuit. So max 2 1/2 syns including a tiny bit of cornflour in stew 😄January spends - £587.581 -
Evening all
Well done Denise and enjoy your break, going to be a lovely weekend, we popped put at 7 and still 18 degrees, crazy weather!!
Maman, i bought the pork to do scotch eggs and never got round to them this week, so pork is in the freezer! I am not keen on it being frozen as its very wet when thawed out, so i end up squashing it between kitchen paper to get the moisture out 🤣
Another funny breakfast, 2 boiled eggs and 4 slices ham!
Lunch i had an amazing omelttee, mushroom, then i fried peppers, onions, mushrooms and cherry toms, then moxed hexa cheese spread in and stuffed it and had some beans, then i failed and had a fig.............i SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much miss fruit 😂
Tea chicken curry 2 syns, egg fried cauli rice, chips, garlic bread hexb
