Evening everyone
Apologies for being AWOL. Unexpected night away Friday, back Saturday evening then spent Sunday in Birmingham shopping. Also was in the office yesterday and got home about 8pm to find good old Hermes had left all my parcels out in the rain! Fortunately all were okay.I went to a book signing at Bluewater on Saturday. I had planned to travel down and back Saturday but there was engineering work so I went down to London Friday and stayed over. I stayed at my usual haunt and because I’m a sad geek I was very excited at trying out the new Tube station which is not too far from my hotel. Usually when I’m down there I end up going to Waitrose which costs me the earth but when I came out of the Tube I was surprised to be faced with a ginormous Sainsbury’s.I went in and did a mini shop of supplies. I thought the alcohol free Tanqueray and 6 cans of sugar free Tango were a mistake knowing I would have to carry them round the following day but I was so excited at finding them that I couldn’t resistI was doing well until I went to bingo (as I occasionally do when I’m down there) and I won £500! In my excitement I consumed a sandwich, some sushi, and er- two mini sausage rolls! Dessert was a pot of orange segments (fresh ones. I’m fairly confident this was free- it was just a plain orange)
Saturday was good. I enjoyed the signing (it was Pepsi and Shirlie. Anyone remember them?! I discovered last year I’m distantly related to Shirlie so we had a good chat. Pepsi admired my boots- bright pink sequined Uggs. They always get comments when I wear them!) Food wise I was doing fine until the way home when I realised I didn’t want yet another M&S salad so I had some honey and mustard pasta (I only ate half though. Too rich) and some fruit.Sunday I went over to Birmingham to spend my winnings. I was doing some Christmas shopping (don’t laugh but I’m almost finished) Food wise- not bad, only digression was some sushi on the way home. Tea was roast chicken, spuds and veg.
Monday I was back in the office but I had planned well, I took a tub of cooked pasta and bought some salad, some boiled eggs and some ham to add to it.Also had some fruit and yoghurt (fat free natural Greek yoghurt) I did have a couple of bags of Fridge Raiders but not the end of the world. When I finally made it home I had an SW ready meal and some brown rice.Today’s food:
B: HEXB Ryvita with HEXA laughing Cow light, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon. Coffee with remainder HEXA and some in the scrambled eggs as well.D- SW meal pot and veg
T: Nando’s chicken (2) couscous (0.5) veg, tomatoes and gherkins. Chocolate (4.5)

WI tomorrow for the first time in a few weeks. My friend is back from hols and she thinks she’s put on a good half a stone. I’m hoping for a loss but definitely won’t get one next week- it’s my birthday Monday and I’m going away Saturday, first to Exeter to an 80’s night and then down to London on Sunday. I have some lovely things booked which includes lovely food 👀my mum tried to make me feel guilty by saying I should stay at home and spend my birthday with OH but I pointed out on Monday OH leaves for work at 11.45am and won’t be home until 11.30pm. OH thinks it’s a great idea that I’m away though- although I will still be on my own I’ll be in my happy place doing lovely stuff rather than being sat at home staring at the wall.Anyway, I’ll shut up blethering now

I'm worn out just reading what you've been up to @MrsRyan. You're definitely doing 'good when you can' style SW so keeping at it when possible. Have a great birthday when it comes. 🎉 And congratulations on your win. 😊
Chicken for breakfast and fry up for lunch is a new slant @bubbs but all on plan. 👍1 -

Morning everyone, wow @MrsRyan, I need some of your energy! Love reading what everyone is up to. Bright, sunny but very cold here this morning, think there was a bit of frost when DS left at half 6. Taking a few hours off shortly to take mum to a hospital appointment and I just know she will want something as a treat from Starbucks on the way out - will need to be very careful!
B - not hungry yet, so having coffee now HEA1
L - chicken and rice soup
D - Pasta with tomato sauce, parmesan HEA2
Have a good day all.1 -
Morning all. Very chilly here this morning. DH was complaining he was cold last night and I told him to put a jumper on (he was just in a t-shirt). Little does he realise I keep turning the thermostat down and we haven't changed the timings on the heating since we've been working at home 😂 Another one who is in awe of all your running around @Mrs_Ryan don't think I'd have the energy for all of that but sounds like you're having a good time. I really like sourdough bread @maman but only M&S's one. Can't seem to get my own to work out properly at home so gave up.
Another workout in the books this morning. I really didn't want to do it but I've realised that consistency is key with pretty much everything in life so off I went and threw some weights around. DH caught me in the middle of the routine (usually prefer working out without an audience), and was amazed apparently at some of the moves I had to do 😏 Had ff yogurt and blueberries for breakfast (might have to move back to porridge soon) and lunch is yet more lentil soup. Dinner tonight is gojuchang chicken bake (basically chicken thighs, rice and green beans with some spicy korean chilli paste and coconut milk) which I'm really looking forward to.

Morning all, a lovely day here if a bit blowy but brilliant for getting the bedding dry! It's only been out about an hour and looks as though it's already dry but will leave it to have a good blow for a while yet!
Sounds like you've been enjoying a great time @Mrs_Ryan and enjoy your birthday treats.
That chicken dish sounds lovely @ruby_eskimo. Do you buy the spicy Korean chilli paste or make it? Could you post the recipe if you make it please?
Have decided, if I remember, to weigh tomorrow morning as won't be at home on Friday. After a very heavy syn night if I manage to still be in target I'll be happy! Really not expecting a loss.
Today's plan:
B - slice of cheese on toast; slice of marmalade on toast - HEB; HEA2; F; 2.5
L -smoked mackerel souffle; salad - P; S; F; 1.5
D - chicken breast traybake - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 2; marmalade 0.5; mackerel 1.5
Have a good day everyone.

It's so easy during bad weather to just curl up indoors and eat. I'm so pleased to see your menu today though @klew356. I worry about you turning into a Pot Noodle! 🤣
Good idea to have some indoor body magic lined up @ruby_eskimo as it'll be dark for morning runs plus rain and cold. I was thinking of trying M&S for some bread. As I eat so little and always freeze it, I don't mind paying a bit extra.
I'm dancing again tonight but I'm determined that we'll keep up some of the walking habits we did during lockdown last winter. Even the daylight is good for us as well as the fresh air and exercise.
I'm always have Americano in coffee shops with hot milk which I count from HEA @Jellybaby. I'm not begrudging your mother her treat but I rarely fancy any of the cookies and things in Starbucks. Perhaps a tiny taste of your mum's would be enough.🤔
I'm determined to try to eat stuff from the freezer in the next week or so and buy an absolute minimum. We're having mince tonight. I wanted a lighter meal than planned tonight as my dance class time has moved and I have to have dinner about 6 pm.☹
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruits squash, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S)
L- veggie omelette (P,S) with pickles and tomatoes (S)
D- savoury mince (P,S), new potatoes (F), cauli, cabbage, broccoli, carrots (S)

I finally made it to weigh in this morning- dh decided to hang my handbag up and then put a coat on top of it 🤔🤔 I couldn’t get out of the house as my phone, keys, and purse were in my bag. I was convinced I’d left it in his car (which I’d used yesterday) so ended up phoning him at work……😂😂😂 Quite why he’d put a coat over my bag I’m not sure😂😂
Anyway I got there just as weigh in was closing. I’d put 2lb on…..I’ve missed 2 groups and honestly expected more…..emotional eating and birthday celebrations got in the way. The talk this week was about SAS logs so I’ve brought a weeks worth home and am filling them in. I know what I’m doing wrong though (not sticking to plan) but hopefully this will focus my mind.
breakfast - lean bacon, 2 eggs fried in frilight, mushroom with Philadelphia 2 syns, tomatoes, a banana and satsuma.
dinner - chicken and lentil soup, ham and salad barm. Lf salad cream instead of spread 1/2 syn
tea - beef stew with potato, beef, leek, onion and carrots served with beetrootJanuary spends - £587.580 -
Good luck with the logs @milann, you're probably right that writing EVERYTHING down will help you focus.
I buy the gochujang @joedenise because it would be a pain to make it because the ingredients aren't that easy to come by. I use this recipe for the dish and you could substitute the gochujang for curry paste or even tomato puree if you didn't want a spicy version. It's just lovely and comforting, especially on an autumnal day.
