  • Sorry!  Have been off the thread lately. As an update I missed last Tuesday's weigh in as the guy who came round that morning to clean my carpet and furniture took rather longer than I anticipated so I missed the class. At yesterdays's weigh in I lost 1lb over two weeks, which isn't the greatest but I had quite a few meals out (including a couple of three course meals, plus a four course cheese and wine evening with dessert afterwards!). Good news is at least the weight went the right way - I've lost 7lbs in total and got my Half a Stone award!😃

I missed my weigh in yesterday. I’d had a few rubbish mornings health wise (nothing contagious- side effect of surgery last year) and didn’t trust my tummy to go out but I’d eaten all sorts of rubbish…..I’m now wonder if the 2 are connected after seeing them written down together 😏😏. Anyway it’s my birthday week and I’m visiting my dd for a few days immediately afterwards. So have a weeks holiday booked next week. I WILL loose this stone- even if I do it via the scenic route….

Afternoon all, have been having a read although not posting as internet signal was a bit up and down!  It's usual for where we were staying!

Well done the losers and hugs to those who need them!

Have not been very good this week and suspect it will be a gain and out of target tomorrow when I weigh but the line drawn now and starting again with a full syn bank tomorrow after I've weighed (at home not group!).

    Enjoy your week's holiday @milann.

Going in the right direction @Seasidegal58. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I wouldn't begrudge anyone celebrating their birthday @milann, just draw that line as soon as you get back. 😊

I know it's only low syn @MrsRyan but I'm surprised about the Morrison's Lazy Garlic. Perhaps it's got oil in it? 🤔 They have own brand at Aldi now as well as Lidl which is free so I'd get that next time you run out.

We've had SW style Bolognese and lasagne now for so long @Gettingtherequickly that I'd not enjoy just meat, tomatoes and onion. I've taken to using a small amount of mince, a handful of lentils and then piling in the Speed.

Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. I think hash is even more tasty the day after as the flavours seem to infuse into the potatoes. Berries were good again today, mostly blackberries, perhaps it's a seasonal thing?

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S)
L- LO ham hash (P,S,F), pickles (S), fried egg (P)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S), pasta (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

Morning all, the weather isn't bad this morning so 2 machine loads of washing out on the line.  Hopefully it'll dry reasonably quickly as there's a bit of a breeze.

How did you manage to get out of Jury service @bubbs?  I managed to get out of it a while back but that was mainly because I won't drive long distance so I wrote to them and told them I couldn't get there by public transport (which is true as the buses don't tie up and I'd have to change in the nearest town as there's no direct service) so I've been excused and it's highly unlikely I'll get called now as I'm nearly 70 so can be excused once you reach that age!

I weighed this morning and the gain wasn't quite as bad as I expected and I'm bang on top end of target but so glad I don't need to go to group for WI for another few weeks!  I'm back on plan from today!!!

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
    L - sloppy joe's stuffed pepper - P; S; F
    D - lamb and chickpea dhansak, rice - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - porridge oats
Syns - not sure but will definitely have some later

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning all,

Pleased to log a 2 ¾ pound loss this week, that’s keeping out the sweetie draw and being very good between meals!

I have actually weighed a day early as I am going out tonight to a friends house to celebrate her 40th birthday. The group of us that are going (9) have not been all together since June 2020 because of lockdown, and even then it was for a short time at picnic benches in a beer garden!

B – fruit and fibre ss milk

L – not sure – might get something form the café to line the stomach

D – quick turnaround tonight as I have to be out quickly. Pot noodle possible!

Im hoping to spin again this weekend too

  • Morning all.  Well done on the loss @Seasidegal58 and @joedenise for not being out of target range!

Decided to go for a run after work today because it was too cold and dark when I got up this morning 😏 Had the usual breakfast (ff yogurt with blueberries and granola) and lunch will be a chicken salad that I prepped earlier on in the week.  Dinner tonight is sausage and mash with peas as that's the only veg I have in the freezer and I'm too lazy to go and pick up something speedy instead.  Have our first in person book club tomorrow since February 2020 which I'm both excited and nervous about.  Will be lovely to see everyone face to face finally after so long of video calls and no doubt a little emotional!  Then we're off to Wales next week so probably won't be checking in till October - so hope you all have a good few weeks!
