Gosh hasn't it rained, the ground is finding it hard to cope, definitely welly weather.
I'm going to defer weighing myself for a few days as my joints are still a bit swollen and arthritic although I can walk a lot better and I've started doing my jobs again with the animals. I know it sounds daft but I think the hens and geese were quite pleased to see me again, especially Gertie the gosling who is now almost as big as an adult, she kept following me around cheeping away but putting in the occasional honk.
Today
B - 0
L - venison, leeks, carrots, celery, red wine casserole, No pots or dumplings, cabbage.
Upside down apple flan, but I didn't have any of the pastry or cream.
D - 3 plain scrambled eggs, no butter or cream, one piece of toast, apple
However, I probably had too big a portion of lunch if I'm honest8 -

My blood sugars are now mostly in the normal range so I am so pleased and hopeful that my insulin may be reduced further in a little while. I have decided to try and cut out bread as even though I wasn't having nearly as much as I used to eat, I noticed it was creeping into my diet more and more.
I struggle with bread and do not lose weight unless I cut it from my diet. I have found in later life that it triggers my IBS and my poor knees and ankles (Osteo) hate the stuff... but I do love it. I don't know what they put in W@rburt0ns I react very badly to their bread.

Good morning everyone
I couldn't sleep so got up and weighed myself and I have lost 5lb this week. I am very happy to see the back of the pesky 2lb I gained last week so I feel I am still on track.
On the whole, I am finding it a bit easier now although I definitely have blips. I managed to refuse a home made chocolate chip cookie yesterday without too much of a pang. Of course it helps to have my husband on jelly making duty so there is always an alternative in the fridge.
Thank goodness the shopping is being delivered today so I can restock my cheese drawer and actually have some snacky bits.9 -
I know there's lots of us that seem to have problems with bread of various sorts. Does anyone else have a problem with apples?
I must admit I love apples or at least I used to where I grew up - apples in the UK lack the flavour and the texture is rather mealy to me. Bramleys are about as close as i can get to what I consider a proper apple. The problem I have though with them is that I get incredibly chapped lips and nose - apparently it's due to a vague vitamin deficiency. I wouldn't mind them being a bit chapped but it can lead to cracks which bleed and cold sores. Which is probably a good reason to avoid them, as well as I don't really enjoy the ones I can buy. But then people say I need to eat more fruit and that's either tinned (peaches, mandarins in juice, not syrup) or soft fruit like strawberries & raspberries (fine in season) or bananas (airmiles!!!)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Hello,
I'm reporting a 3lb loss this week which is a bit of a shock. I jumped on and off the scales 3 times and it gave the same result so I guess it must be right. My problem is I am either losing or gaining weight never just maintaining a steady state.8 -

Well done for those who weigh in at the weekend 👏
I've manage to go cold turkey on process sugar this week as well keeping the wheat to a couple of small portions of pasta so I'm hoping the scales will be kind on Wednesdays especially all the vegetables I've eaten 😁
Dumpling well done on refusing the cookie it seems you drew a line under the takeaway blip and started a fresh which isn't always easy
Marycanary it's such a fine line to maintain once you reach your limit without putting weight on again. At the moment however I've been stuck on the maintaining rather than losing
I hope you all have a good week
