Hi All
Welcome to the Old Style Weight Loss thread for quarter three 2021
Please feel free to start posting your weight loss goals for the next challenge which will run from the 1st July until the 30th September (14 weeks)
You do not have to submit a loss or gain for the first week as it's our starting week, you can post your first loss or gain the week after on a day of your choice.
As usual everyone is welcome - we support and encourage, we don't judge and importantly that includes being kind to ourselves
. All hints and tips welcomed especially during the current time when we may be reaching for food or we are aren't able to buy our usual healthier choices
Please send me your targets if you are setting one in either lbs or kgs whatever suits you and Good Luck
NB - Anyone can join the challenge at any point over the next 3 months

Thanks, as always, Brambling for setting up the challenge.
Considering how badly I've done at the past two it's very tempting to set a target of zero, as even that would be an improvement, but could you please put me down for 14lb8 -

Thank you for letting me join in again. I've a total of around 80lb to lose to be at my correct weight, however, I'd be happy with anything over 50lb as that amount would take me back to where I was at the beginning of 2018
Feeling positive and motivated, so as it is the beginning of my diet please put me down for 28lb. Thank-you Brambling8 -

- but I'm on the downward trend after a silly gain through lockdown shielding my dad - and interested to see if I set myself a target I can achieve it - over the space of a quarter (14 weeks) I'd aim for 21lbs (1.5lbs a week).
I'm currently around 30lbs above my target weight at 190lbs heading for 160lbs. There'll be some life challenges thrown in over the quarter as I deal with my dad's estate, but it should also give me more time to exercise a little here and there.
As I'm posting my current weight below on a Wednesday - I'll update it weekly on the same day.
