Hi all!
Hi monna, good to see you again 👋. Don’t despair my friend, we can do it! Remember Mindful eating!
Well, I’ve started the quarter with a massive self-sabotage. Stayed up till 1am faffing about at nothing-in-particular last night, hence today’s Doggy-munch:
B: bacon & buttery scrambled eggs
L: 3 choc/orange choc-ices, 2 peaches, trout pâté + cucumber
D : sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes (all grilled), green beans, cabbage (steamed), strawberries & yogurt. 2 glasses red wine.
S none yet! Edited to add, no snacks at all!
Keep up the good work, fellow losers, we have nothing to lose but several tons of lard!“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Breakfast: just hot water as usual, and then out to do just over 3hrs of physical work, I'm not as quick as I used to be, nor as mobile so it does take longer than 20yrs ago.
Lunch - leftover pate and salad from the visit by our son, I know it was a bit calorific as I made it myself but it needed eating up and I've no intention of making more in the near future.
This afternoon helped to hang a new deer gate, it's not to contain deer, but to stop the foxes getting into what is a run for the hens. - 2meters high-4m wide - it should do the job and I can drive in and out which also helps with carrying feed and bedding.
(Tea:- you can tell I'm originally from the north !!!)
Sorry - Dinner will be:- 2 sausages wrapped in bacon plus the remainder of the leftover salad, then fruit.
I'm just starting this diet - again - so need to finish off what is still lurking in the fridge. There is only so much I can push onto DH before he starts moaning about how much I expect him to eat.
Just off out again, Gertie the 5wk old gosling needs new bedding, then a bit (and I mean a small bit) of housework before it goes dark.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone. Love the comment above about several tons of lard - i hope to be adding to the pile.9 -
Zafiro I'm originally a West Country (Dorset) 'girl' and grew up with dinner instead of lunch and tea rather than dinner, so I have tea unless I'm going out and then it's dinner although I do have lunch 😁 it's what my parents called
Ginger well on the first loss added to the chart 🙂

We call the hot meal in a day dinner - whether eaten in the middle of the day or the eveningThen the cold meal is lunch if eaten in the middle of the day, or tea if eaten in the evening.
I'm form SE London - not sure if this is a common thing, or whether it's just my family!5 -
Like 2childmum2, my family (Hampshire) always called the main or cooked meal of the day “dinner” and the lighter meal “lunch” or “tea”. Luckily breakfast is always breakfast.
Weighing in with an STS. Having had a bad start to this quarter, I think I’d better go back to recording what I ate each day in the hope it’ll shame me out of some of the excesses...
So, today:
B - porridge with blueberries
D - (it’s Sunday, so main meal early!) beef casserole, carrots & cabbage; strawberries and cream; 2 glasses wine
T - celery with Camembert; peach“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Checking in with a 2lbs loss7
-
The fridge is empty of temptation.
B:-0
L:- I'm going to turn a tin of chopped tomatoes into soup with the addition of a few herbs/spices. Hopefully it will be on the thick side. Just looked at the calories - just 90 for the whole tin. Followed by apple & pear.
D - salmon (microwaved) veg, sugar free jelly - a whole sachet to myself, made with less water but with a yogurt stirred through it, plus maybe a bit of frozen fruit as well.
I think that will leave me with enough spare calories for a couple of squares of 85% dark chocolate, milk for coffee, and the odd mouthful as I'm cooking/tasting DH's tea
