dumpling said:My wardrobe is full of new clothes after finally going down a dress size but I am of a weight where I can lose or gain a stone or more and it makes little difference to the fit as all my clothes are loose and flowy or elasticated. I fully expect to be able to wear my new clothes for the next 6 months at least even if i carry on losing a load more weight. What I am absolutely desperate for is pretty underwear. My knickers are all definitely Bridget's and my bras are definitely functional rather than attractive.
Well, it's been another scorching day and I am pleased that I have made very good choices on the whole regarding what I have eaten. Even better, my blood sugars have more than halved since I changed my diet and started using insulin. I was running at around 25 which was ridiculously high and I felt pretty poorly with it but today my blood sugars have been around the 11 mark. My nurse is going to be so pleased and I really feel better for it.
My meals today were:
b - shreddies and 1 slice of seeded toast with almond butter
l - ham salad wholemeal wrap and a boiled egg
d - hunters chicken kiev, small amount of mash, peas and green beans
s - pepperami, rice cake and an activia yoghurt
Good luck everyone xx
Definitely update your clothes regularly if you are on a longer journey, but underwear is crucial. Go get a pretty set of a nice bra and lush panties. Go girl, you deserve it! You are doing so much for your health, it is brilliant.

Yesterdays food
B - alpen light and fruit
2nd B - about 11am Alpen light and Strawberries.
L - Melba toast, 1 individual tub of Philly, tomato and an apple
D - Chilli (made SW style ) made with turkey mince, (no packet mix) with mushrooms added for extra veg and half a jacket spud, the other half I managed to drop on my fingers and now have burn blisters...Mr Pepper was upset, not only because of the burn but because he normally gets the other half of the spud.

Though I'm hoping to lose another 5 lb this quarter, I feel I should be satisfied with my own achievement to date - size 22 to size 8/10 over a few years.
This post is really just to say I'm about to leave the Forum but wanted to record my thanks for your company along the way over recent months and to wish everyone success in their own weight-loss journey. Remember to still enjoy your food and the exercise in which you participate.

Good morning everyone
I have had a couple more good days and my blood sugar is now in single figures. I can't believe how much better I feel now I don't need to constantly chug drinks because I am so so thirsty. Even my eyesight seems to have improved.
LittleVoice, I think you have done absolutely brilliantly to have lost all that weight and dress sizes. I wish you well as you leave us and thank you for your company xx
I am planning to make a big steak and potato pie today assuming Asda delivers the ingredients. I am not a great pastry lover so I will be happy with just some of the filling and a big pile of veg. It's been nice to get back in the kitchen even if I need help with the fetching and carrying.
Todays meals look like this:
b - porridge and a slice of seeded bread and butter with marmite
l - boiled eggs and salad
d - steak and potato pie filling, broccoli, carrots and green beans
s - kiwi and a yoghurt
Hope you all have a great day and make good choices xx8 -
Reporting a one and a half pound loss from Friday.
I seem to be getting into the swing of it now. I am definitely an abstainer not a moderator, and I don't think I will ever learn to be.
Todays food.
Minced beef curry, brown rice with corn and peas mixed in.
Tub of cherries
Later.
Either shredded wheat or a ham butty. I cant decide which. Raw carrots.
Talking of carrots... What on earth is going on with them at the moment? Most on sale here are on their last legs and a bit feeble to say the least.6 -
Some great achievements, Lovely Losers! 👏👏👏Well done and good luck LittleVoice 🍀
I’ve finally broken the run of STSs - weighing in with +2lb. 😱😢😫 Lots of identifiable errors: mayo, shop-bought coleslaw (I am so bored with salad...), wine, 3 Penguins, 5 brownies, peaches. Pluses - I did manage some days without snacks (just not enough),
Not a good week, another new one coming up, so hoping that “tomorrow is another day”.Yesterday’s menu: B - bacon & eggs; L - jacket potato & baked beans, peach; D - sardine salad, strawberries & yogurt.
Today’s food:
B - porridge with raspberries
D - roast lamb, onion, celery, green beans; strawberries & yogurt
T - small piece of cheese, black olives; peach
S - none so far“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Good morning all
I'm a little fed up today as my scales show a 2lb gain but after a good talking to I am still in the game and will just try a little harder this week. I suspect some of it is water retention but it may not be and so I am drawing up a meal plan and will up my veggies. It's only 2lb, I can get it off again hopefully this week so I won't get disheartened.
Todays menu looks like this:
b - 2 weetabix, semi skimmed milk and sweetener
l - egg and cottage cheese salad
d - sausages, baked potato and peas and carrots
s - satsuma
I am watching my portion sizes as they have crept up since I came out of hospital and as I am still not very active I need to be more realistic about what I can eat.5 -
Morning Everyone,
Keep on keeping on Blue Doggy and Dumpling, Dumpling your blood sugar results are very encouraging so you should be very pleased!
I'm checking in with a 2.5lb loss - finally getting off the board. Lots of walking, lots of water and the hot weather making me not want to cook helped. We'll see how that continues now the weather is cooler. I'm hoping to see my family for the first time since December 2019 this weekend so that may end up being an indulgent time - I'm planning to prepare for that by being super good before hand. Fingers crossed!
Have a good week everyone.
