My own tip - once you drop a clothes size comfortably - if the budget allows get a few new nice things to wear - but don’t go crazy - as these will just be temporary - continuing the journey will lead you down another size - and then time to buy a few more. Don’t spend too much on clothes though until you’re within range of your goal.Keep up the good work.

My wardrobe is full of new clothes after finally going down a dress size but I am of a weight where I can lose or gain a stone or more and it makes little difference to the fit as all my clothes are loose and flowy or elasticated. I fully expect to be able to wear my new clothes for the next 6 months at least even if i carry on losing a load more weight. What I am absolutely desperate for is pretty underwear. My knickers are all definitely Bridget's and my bras are definitely functional rather than attractive.
Well, it's been another scorching day and I am pleased that I have made very good choices on the whole regarding what I have eaten. Even better, my blood sugars have more than halved since I changed my diet and started using insulin. I was running at around 25 which was ridiculously high and I felt pretty poorly with it but today my blood sugars have been around the 11 mark. My nurse is going to be so pleased and I really feel better for it.
My meals today were:
b - shreddies and 1 slice of seeded toast with almond butter
l - ham salad wholemeal wrap and a boiled egg
d - hunters chicken kiev, small amount of mash, peas and green beans
s - pepperami, rice cake and an activia yoghurt
Good luck everyone xx6 -

Hi Brie
if the total amount you need to lose is too daunting I would break it down in very small chunks and tick off one at a time maybe treating yourself with a none food treat when you reach each one. Doesn't have to be expensive or even have to cost anything a long bath, a walk, a cheap new nail Polish or a new book. I have said this before but I think it is fitting on a weight loss thread 'the best way to eat a elephant is one bite at a time' 🙂
Dumpling no droopy drawers please, there is nothing worst than that saggy elastic feeling 😬 well done on getting your sugar levels down and enjoy your new wardrobe you've worked hard for it 🙂
I buy bras here they do big sizes and have good discounts

Sirens I saw something recently as well that said put rice into socks and freeze and take to bed as a reverse hot water bottle, I'm assuming if you have a hot water bottle you could pop that into the freezer as well?
I've finally putting aonto the chart this quarter with a 1lb loss 🙂 I'm obviously eating more than I though, that not eating as I'm too hot only works until the sun goes down and then I make up for it 🙄

Sts for me this week ,not really happy but probably deserved .

Hi Brie
I also have loads to lose, according to the charts between 5-6 stone. I got close once but then put it all back on again plus a bit more. This time I'm taking it steady; as others have said a 1lb loss is better than a gain.
My aim this time is to be lighter than my DH who is a little overweight himself, I once got within 5lb and then it all went back on. Anyway, that's my aim - 4stone 11.5lb to go - a long journey.....
Yesterday
B:0
L - small piece of cheese, lettuce, toms and an ice-cream
D- didn't come into the house until almost 9pm so it had to be something quick. Unfortunately a toasted ham sandwich, and an ice-cream was the first thing to hand.9 -
3 weeks in and at last I can just about claim a 1 lb loss. So that's 1/6 for me, please, Brambling.8

So yesterday had it's highs and very lows.
Had some difficult news, but things have improved so I am moving on.
Naughty bits, gin... 4 large ones, woops and 2 packets of those Shortbread bics you get in hotel rooms, couple of 'tears before bedtime... but all ok now, (chat to self). On another note, DR rang and confirmed that I have damage to neck (after X-ray) the V0ltar0l did not work yesterday but the gin did!
Apart from that
B - Alpen light bar and fruit
2nd B (11 ish) strawberries and an alpen light bar
L - same as yesterday
D - Turkey steak BBQ in a splash of Nand0's salad and a few new spuds.
Snack - fruit and a 63 cal strawberry split from m@rks, they are very nice and do not feel as if I am having a 'diet option'.
Leg and ankle still swollen from the reaction to the bites, but the Fullers 3arth cream has been a saving force, bites have turned from very dark purple to light red in 48 hrs.

Just looking back - there are some great weight losses well done to all, I'm impressed
Weighed this morning a 1.5lb loss, that's a total of 5.5lb but 4st10lb to go, at least it's in the right direction but the road is still long. How I've managed to lose any weight this week is a mystery when you see what I consumed yesterday?. Thinking about it, I realise I've done less snacking than usual, maybe that's the reason....
Yesterday
B 0
L - small amount of cheese, lettuce, 3 walnuts
D several pieces of hm left over smoked salmon and asparagus flan, ice cream, blueberries and yogurt, two squares 85% chocolate7
