Lovely to see you Dumpling, sorry you've been back in hospital. I know what you mean about self sabotage our brains are strange things with one part desperate to lose the weight and the other worried about dealing with being slim I'm sure many of us could write a book on the subject
take care and let your DH pamper you
Well done on all your losses everyone. Cymruchris a very impressive 8lb over the two weeksI'm joining those in the STS club again this week, the challenge isn't going how I want it to food wise
I was ****** off with a very long stressful work day Saturday and coped by eating carp and then carried on doing it into the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
so I've sharpen my pencil and drawn yet another line under the week and I'm starting again, I'm on a walking holiday from the 6th August with two of my sisters so would like to be a little slimmer as I haven't seen one since October and as she is her mothers' daughter the first thing she will comment on will be my weight (not that she is slim herself just slimmer than me !!)
Zafiro I'm impressed at your pie baking skills, do you make a hot water crust - actually maybe you shouldn't tell me
Honey I wonder what's in the GF granules to upset you? but I'm glad you have pin pointed the food you need to eliminate
Following on from my second STS I been cooking today around work, a large portion of tomato and vegetable sauce as been bubbling in the slow cooker all day with some venison meatballs added half way through I've seem to have made a lot larger than expected batch so will stick some in the freezer (probably 3 batches with meatballs and a couple without) it's all very healthy with loads of veg. I also made a crustless quiche, a friend gave me a SW recipe which was in their latest mag for a baked beans one and as I had all the ingredients except sprouts in the house I made it lunchtime, I haven't tried it yet as I'm now a little weary of itit will get eaten as there are a lot of eggs in it and I wouldn't waste food. It's the weather for salads so that will be my lunches for the next few days

Just popping on to log my meals today,
b - 2 weetabix and sweetener and some toast with marmite
l - tomatoes, mushrooms and 2 eggs on seeded toast
d - steak pie, new potatoes, peas, carrots and green beans
s - pear, banana, and a small packet of pork scratchings
In the interest of honesty i also tried a few squares of fudge but knew I couldn't trust myself so threw it away. Yes it was wasteful but everyone in my immediate family struggles with weight /food issues so I didn't want to pass it on.4 -

A hot day here in the SE with the threat of up to 29 at the weekend, I'm not built for the heatI also burn really easy

Have a great weekendLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin6 -
Hi just dropping by to say 'I'm on it' I dropped the ball a bit last night, as had a beer and an ice cream, but today I'm back on it, won't be running through as have to give a lift and it is just getting too hot.
Main weapon is still 8/16 and trying to eat healthily although I'm not too successful in that department.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Good evening everyone
My meals today have been:
b - small bowl of porridge and 2 slices of pb toast, I think 1 slice would be plenty in future
l - cheese omelette with 1 slice seeded bread and butter
d - cottage cheese salad with hm wedges
s - orange and an apple
Although my menus are still too carby for a type 2 diabetic they are a lot better that they used to be. Having to regularly test my blood sugar is helping me a lot and I have a telephone appointment with my diabetic nurse on Monday to discuss how my insulin taking is going. We are having shopping delivered on Monday evening so at least there will be a bit more choice on what to eat as well.6 -
Morning all
This weather is getting me down, I know we moan when it's cold but this weather is just too much. I don't do heat.
Yesterday, it seemed like a constant round of checking to see if everything had enough water and shade. I knew it was hot when the gander stayed in the water instead of chasing me.
Dumpling you are amazing, I know you have been on this thread a long time as I remember you from when I first joined. However, I feel this is a new you, you have so much positivity at the moment - i wish you well
Must go, someone has arrived will edit later
