Quite a full on day. Tv was delivered at 8.20 am. Had my pills and my yoghurt. Cleaner was supposed to be coming so went to look in the shed (not for the cleaner - all the garden and diy stuff is going in the shed but can't move the little cabinet). Brought out the sewing machine that I've finally persuaded mum to part with. It still has the tape I put round it so that the pedal didn't get lost during the move and it was a couple of years before that, that twin 2 and I spent a whole afternoon trying to thread it, without success (even when I took my glasses off and put my face about one inch away from the needle).

Started a new tip pile and moved the other things into that corner (have been struggling to get things along the path as the old tv and aerials were alongside the bins). Put all the diy and garden things from the front room into the trolley and covered it with one of the polytunnel covers. It's near the shed so when I have the energy to tackle that, everything is close at hand.

Gone 9 am so had a shower and sat on the bed to have a drink whilst I dried. Fireman phoned so did the phone fire safety Q and A, was promised firemen (with the engine) for later in the day (coming to fit a new smoke alarm. Spent a couple of hours clearing the bed (unplugging machines and lights, putting all the small stuff in bags), then making it - think I have six 'sheets' on (2 are valances, one makes a better tablecloth than a sheet and there is a duvet cover somewhere). All the pillowcases are filled and a couple of spare bedcovers went into pillowcases too. Stopped to eat.

Did a bit more room tidying but still not hoovered. Cleaner did not come so mum must have misheard what she said. Okay for me as it means I can continue sorting at my own pace. Hairdresser phoned and will come next week (just back from holiday). Finished the book I was reading. I phoned and made blood test appointments for mum and me. Watched several episodes of my latest serial. Mum went to have a lie down. Fire engine came (they come in the engine because if they get called to a fire, they take off). Old alarm taken down and new one installed.

Grateful for firemen, prompt delivery of new tv, wonderful bed with clean sheets (I put a washload on but haven't pegged it out - no energy left)

@Deni_debt-free_dreamer thanks for my hug ☺️

A better day today, took another 6 bags of debris to the tip. Collected Mum, she was happy with the wool I'd chosen for her on my day trip. Used points in b00ts to get free arnica cream. Did food shop, lunch at mum's, then up to the hospital for my swab. No phonecall received to say it was a positive result, so looks like I'll be heading back again Monday to get my wisdom teeth out.

Watched TV & knitted after tea, quite pleased that I managed to only eat half the normal Fri night amount of chocolate. Did 100 skips again today (50 forwards, 50 back). Determined to lose some weight!

Grateful for a negative test, spending time with mum, doing some knitting for the first time in days

  • thank you mothernerd for the challenge

I haven't achieved very many NSDs, don't think i got in double figures but i haven't spent much on food; have been using what's in the fridge and freezer.  Paid for car insurance outright (unheard of until last year), paid my self asst and paid for my hol.  Work has been really busy with loads of evening meetings but i have managed to exercise regularly and eat well - have lost a few pounds.

i am going to stay with some friends tonight, first time in nearly 2 years!  Then tomorrow we are going to the outdoor theatre - really looking forward to that :)

Hope everyone has a great day and see you in August :)

    Love Deni
