Had a nice day. Took hubby to hospital appointment, then collected mum, dropped half a dozen bags of bonfire debris to the tip, then came home. Made elderflower cordial for the first time, then after dinner made rhubarb & ginger cordial. Mum helped prep the rhubarb. Had Meanqueen Superscrimper on yootoob in the background, mum likes watching them, I've seen a lot already. Did a little knitting. I've just taken her home, now to get sorted for a very early start. Catching a boat at 6.30 & heading to Golspie with a friend, we're going to walk up Benn Braggie, then head to Wick for a 'bit' of shopping 😉 then back on the 7.30pm boat. There's an amber weather warning of rain & floods, so packing our waterproofs just in case!Use it up, wear it out

We finally had rain, this afternoon and this evening, nothing is drowning yet, just have to wait and see if the brown plants recover - a tree across the road has also gone almost totally brown.
I've had a much needed rest day, breathing is still troublesome (cough/ cold thing, hayfever exacerbated by the long hot dry spell and a bad habit of tucking my chin into my neck and restricting mt own air supply) all the predicted arthritis spots are kicking off (shoulder and neck have been painful for days, fingers are really bad today) and swamped by minor health issues (cumulatively distressing).
I had a little nap mid-morning, apologised to visitors and retreated back to my room, longer sleep this afternoon and been slumped in front of some good drama series whilst eating. Mum went to bed at 8.20 pm and I turned the tv off at 9.30. Will turn off the laptop and read shortly
Grateful for mummy of twins opening jars and putting the little tv in the top cupboard. She's also going to come back and do a tip run with the broken tv and 2 old aerials (+ the sewing machine in my shed and anything else I can find). She's selling it to the children as an exciting holiday day out so add that to your staycation list. Grateful for sleeping, it make managing pain so much easier. Grab and go food - the most complicated food I've eaten today was a roast beef sandwich with mayo, grain mustard and red onions (only had beef because the SM sent it as a substitute for the tongue mum requested). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
Thanks again all, there are no quick fixes on the horizon at the moment, but great to keep ds1 company this afternoon for a while.
Grateful for finding an ear ring I lost a few weeks ago whilst gardening, in the cutlery drawer, I looked everywhere in the garden.
The thing is I got it from ds1, so I take it to be a positive sign, and I might wear it tomorrow when I go and see him again.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Glad to hear that DS1 is improving and that you are now able to see him.
I'm on NSD No 14 but I have lost the plot as far as everything else goes.
On Sunday the Tesco tried to deliver to the wrong address and I spent hours on the phone trying to speak to a human being to track it down. Eventually he came back with it. He said he'd tried to phone but it appears he had the wrong phone number. Don't know how that happened. The regular man has phoned me a few times to say he was either running early or running late. I find it so frustrating when you can't just speak to someone instead of pressing option A or B or there isn't an option that you can press to solve your problem. I think I'm getting grumpy.
We've still been walking hence the reduction in NSDs. Himself is relishing in the fact that he's getting back to the shops and the freezer is full to bursting again with his YS bargains. It's raining today so no walk as there is a warning for thunder storms. So after I have some breakfast it's back to the cleaning and declutter.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
@ditty1234 All his Turtle-aunties and uncles are cheering him on. We are in his corner and sending healing vibes and best wishes. Hugs to you too, I would be a total basket case. You rock.In other news.... I was not woken in the night by squeaking bedsprings!! I think they all got into bed last night, went,' ooooh, this is comfy' and stayed there. One less thing to feel guilty about.Today will be 0lympic Hoovering (6m Cord), bathroom scrubbing (time trials), the Individual laundry folding Final (for the Gold!). I am going to Judo the living room into submission and try to make today my NSD7 as I have a fridge full of veg I can make into nice things. All I want is chocolate cake. I am not having chocolate cake!!. Stupid brain.I have got down my reading pile to less than 20 books, and I don't really fancy any of them. Still putting a few read books a week into the community book shed up the road. Slowly clearing my boot.4 days til payday, really feeling the limbo.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

We have traded our freedom for overfilled closets and our passions for unnecessary maintenance. We have too easily sacrificed life for clutter.

The key to eating healthy? Avoid any food that has a tv commercial.
Things you don't need to apologise for
1 Literally existing
2 Saying 'no'
3 How you really feel
4 Setting boundaries that protect your peace of mind
5 Not responding to things not worth your energy
6 Prioritising your self-care
7 Disappointing some people when you do prioritise your self-care
8 Outgrowing people, places, things
9 Outgrowing parts of yourself

Wondering if anyone can recommend budgeting or SOA website / spreadsheet provider? We're setting aside some time to go through budgets together and then work out exactly what our budget for mortgage payments would be, but wondering if there is a good template already out there somewhere?4

Hi @GeorgianaCavendish the SOA form most often used on this site is based on the one at https://www.stoozing.com/soa.php or copied and pasted from one of the other posts on the page, like this - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5596864/statement-of-affairsBoth are pretty much the same. No point reinventing the wheel.
