NSD 20 today.
Grateful for:
Receiving a voucher from my sister for my favourite shop.
Watching a dvd this evening.
Free offer on favourite loyalty card - free sweets.
Had £5 on another loyalty card - so got 3 for 2 on hand soap. Came to £5 so more freebies.
Relaxing bath.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20136 -
apple I think Dr Carrie said she'd do September.
Not done a lot today. My breathing is still problematic and this evening my throat has started closing in (2 portions of ice cream and then found a salmon and broccoli meal which was manageable), can barely stand on my left foot, let alone walk and my fingers are cramping and hurting (I sewed a zip in a cushion, one side one evening and the other the next). I intended going to town/ my house - the list of things to do is mounting up - but have decided to put a food order in and have things delivered, in case I get any worse and still don't feel up to it tomorrow..
Brought the bins in, brought the wastebin back to my room. Also had a shower, brushed my teeth umpteen times, cleaned my mask and hose thoroughly (to avoid breathing in infection all night), added an extra grooming task, hair could do with cutting but will wait until my hands are under control (don't mind basic ahircut but don't need bald spots) and got dressed.
Grateful for being able to rest (remembering all the times I've worked with flu and my arm in a sling), easy food, books. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -

f0xh0les said:Hi @GeorgianaCavendish the SOA form most often used on this site is based on the one at https://www.stoozing.com/soa.php or copied and pasted from one of the other posts on the page, like this - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5596864/statement-of-affairsBoth are pretty much the same. No point reinventing the wheel.4

Sending hugs Ditty (glad you were able to see ds1) & Mothernerd hope you feel better soon.
Spendy Wednesday, was up at 4.15 in order to catch the 6.30 boat over to the Scottish mainland. Arrived to thick fog & torrential rain, so glad my friend was driving to Golspie. Donned waterproofs & set off up Benn Bhraggie. Couldn't see much further than our feet, so looking up we couldn't see how close to the statue at the top we were, until we reached the summit! Torrents of water rushing down the path, so had no choice but to squelch through it. Decided just to go up, then down, rather than the longer route back past a gorge. The fog cleared slightly on our descent, so we could see a tiny bit of scenery.
Once dried we then went to Wick where they have a BnM. We don't have one on our island, so we were very excited! Then headed to Thurso for food & caught the boat from Scrabster.
A good day, despite the weather & nice to have a treatUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
