Had a great family day out yesterday, explored all our favourite places & ate nearly all the picnic I'd packed 😃
Had trouble getting to sleep though, & up at 5am due to worrying about something. Repaired a pair of trousers for a customer & had breakfasted & done the ironing by 9.30. Collected Mum & we went shopping. Had a phonecall to say my wisdom teeth removal op on Monday is being postponed, so didn't have to have a covid swab this afternoon.
Was shattered after putting the shopping away, so I had a nap, then broke up more branches from the now redundant bonfire site. Washed up after tea then did some knitting & watched TV. Slight panic, both of our inside cats escaped through an open attic window, think they were scared, especially as it's quite windy today!
Grateful for getting the cats back in, dealing with the large frog which was causing my anxiety - hopefully that will be the end of it now, I don't like cutting people out of my life & don't do it often, but I'm not letting them cross the line & make me feel uncomfortable! - & that Friday is treat night strawberry filled chocolate, salt & vinegar shapes from £land & peach schnapps & lemonadeUse it up, wear it out

Had a busy day yesterday, but got to spend 30 min picking wild shoots off my fig tree, in the shade late afternoon, which was lovely. Later I went on a sunset aquariumlike lake swim - I can now observe weeds as an underwater magic forest, when I got out I realised the water in my wetsuit was boiling hot! I still don't have the guts to swim without it!
Grateful for chat and swim w ex colleague and ice cream and beer w ds1 when I got back. Ds 2 walked off to hang w friends and I think he came back! Now up and out. Have a lovely Saturday everybody.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Turtles, I am just popping in to say how much the thread is keeping me on track today, I am struggling with the assignment, and a very typical strategy to manage that would be brandy in my coffee. I have no Brandy, and I want a NSD.
This sort of thing would happen regularly, and not I am a fully sighed up NSD-er, it stops me lots. So THANK YOU I am greatful, for you all, the thread, and my brandy-less coffee.3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000

Serenity - being present to inner peace
Inhale peace, exhale stress
Inhale calm, exhale worry
Today I choose
Calm over chaos
Serenity over stress
Peace over perfection
Grace over grit
Faith over fear
Those who tried to break you are expecting you to be in fight mode. Conquer them with your peace. Thelma Davis

Today I am grateful for dragging myself out the door and going for a run - and being home again before 7.30am. I am pretending it was just a dream. Am in limbo until money comes in on Monday, so bought in what was needed, and made a massive fruit salad, an asian style coleslaw, a green salad, a tomato salad, and a dry-roast veg salad. 20p asparagus is not to be sniffed at. Scored 2 Leedl boxes of loveliness, I need to buy a pomegranate tomorrow, but I set the coins aside after the shopping this morning as I could not find one, but know the shop that will have them. Apart from that will try not to spend on Sunday as I filled the car with petrol, did everything I could remember I needed to.I am officially on holiday now, and my holiday head is firmly attached.'I am having a lovely time!' is my new mantra - like a drunk auntie at a wedding.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Went on a boat with my family to a neighbouring island to visit my father in law. We haven't seen him for @2years, he hasn't been well since before December & with hubby's renal failure diagnosis in April, it's been great that they could get together. I spent most of the afternoon knitting while we all chatted. Have eaten a lot of rubbish since we returned back home again. Will have to try better tomorrow.
Grateful for seeing father in law, watching a film with eldest son this evening, getting knitting done & giving father in law his birthday & c-mas presentsUse it up, wear it out

Not doing so well with the NSDs this month. Just on 9 at the moment.
Himself wasn’t picked for jury service but at least that kept him off public transport. We’re hoping to get started walking again next week.
It’s really hot here and the little “garden” is blooming. One of the smaller children said it was like an enchanted forest. What a lovely description. Another one gave me a spider plant because her Granny has absolutely “hundreds”.
Tesco delivery arriving shortly and I have some meals to cook for the Boy so I’d better get on.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7
