Second raised bed is in place (front row with container 'bags' behind). Need to go and line it, fill it with soil and plant it up. Took a long while because I've had to move things off the table (to bring the raised bed to the forward edge before lifting it), move all the edging stones - only a few inches and all the buckets of soil and stones.
Grateful for a sunny day (going to hang the washing in a few minutes), reaching the end of this stage (other stages should be more fun, less hard work), tuna butties and yoghurt. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -

Grateful for the extremely generous gift of a car from a relative. It’s old but in very good condition. They were going to sell it and I offered to buy it as it is a good car for new driver, and they decided to gift it to me instead. It is taxed and MOT’ed and for now MrC is insured on it.I’m incredibly grateful! Now I just need to learn to drive 😜8

Hiya Turtle Gang! I am back, Operation Puffin Strangler went exceptionally well.Glad we left this morning as it got considerably busier in Whitby from Wednesday afternoon and it did not feel like the right place to be. Up til then we were the only few out on the beach, but Wednesday was a sunny afternoon and the mood changed. It was spendy though - we had to eat out, the self catering kitchen was still closed, their restaurant was closed due to staff shortages, we had a lot of 'french bread, hummus and olives' meals at picnic benches, but it was worth it to see DH feeding sparrows from his hand, spotting seals, getting properly excited about puffins, and exploring caves while generally relaxing, and the kids making him laugh at their utter ridiculousness. It felt like proper 'family time' with a healthy dose of Famous Five exploring.I managed to come back with £23 in the bank until Monday, so I still have a budget.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Still on NSD 4. Lots of little spends but they still snatch away my NSD. They’ve been on food top ups - I must’ve mucked up the food shop this week otherwise I wouldn’t have all the spends to get things we don’t have.I cashed out £20 yesterday from surveys and made £5 on gummytree. Put the £25 into mortgage OP.Today DS and I went to a park with other grandparents - my Dad and his partner. Had a really nice day and an even nicer lunch. Fancy bread with lime chilli avocado, poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Followed by a very scrumptious sundae.Grateful for sun, getting washing dried on the line, a sunny day, a day at the park, Dad picking up the bill for lunch.
