I've just taken the following upgrade/retention deal.
This isn't the cheapest tariff so will prob get criticised, but it gave me a discount over getting it new.

    Iphone 5S 32gb space gray
    EE 4GEE Extra plan:
    Unlimited mins and texts
    Double speed 4G
    20gb data allowance
International roaming included (in 20 odd countries)

    for £179 for phone
    £42.99 a month for 24 month.

(Bear in mind this same tariff is £42.99 a month and £289.99 for phone for new customers)

Hope that helps someone - the deals are not as easy to get or good as in previous years, but at least you can get some sort of discount.

Been with Orange for about 5 years, contract ends mid Jan.
Spend about £20/month. Unlimited calls, texts, 500mb on a Wildfire S.

Offered S3 mini, 24 months, 600 mins, unlimited texts and 250mb £21.99/month plus one off £9.99

Phone is OK but think Orange can do better.

Anyone got any deals better than this?
    Thanks, Bob

    Phoned yesterday,
Offered exactly the same deal as on the website.
Was hoping for a bit of a loyalty discount after 5 years.

Asked for PAC code, " certainly sir, have you got a pen handy ..."

No attempt to keep a customer, no call back.
    Guess I know where I stand - I'm off !

Just over a year ago, I had both my mobile line, and a mobile broadband line with Orange.

At the time, I was spending a small fortune with Orange.

My mobile line contract came to term a year ago, at which point I PAC'ed out to O2, with zero retentions effort from Orange..

The mobile broadband line, still had time left on the contract, until recently.. I rang Orange to terminate the line as I.....

    1) Had signed up to Three, who gave A LOT more data per pound spend..

    2) Was 'genuinely' terminating this line to settle 'loose ends', of unfinished business with Orange...

.... The ironic thing is, that they put infinitely more effort into keeping me, on a MBB contract (I was genuinely trying to terminate the line!!)

.... The advisor, with absolutely no prompting offered £1 a month for 200mb data, at which point I suggested that 200mb wont go very far... then I was offered 2GB for £5 p/m
    ... Which I accepted ...

(For Orange, this was a genuine save, rather than 'better deal fishing' threat.. the line WAS going to get 'chopped')

    Hi
Out of contract and been eligible for an upgrade for last two years!!...... Never bothered but 3GS finally dying so called to see what I could get. Was offered the following:

    iPhone 5S (16GB)
    4GEE
    Unltd mins
    Unltd texts
2GB data (tethering allowed) + free data sim for iPad etc
    £165 upfront for handset + £23.99 per month (24mths)

Being delivered Friday but I believe there is 14 days cooling off period. Is this a good deal? Can I get better?

Wiling to pay high upfront handset cost to reduce overall cost over contract length.

    Thanks
