Orange Retention Offers

Do orange ever offer a deal on iphone4 contracts?
To explain i was on a decent 18 month contract for a non smart phone nokia. For £10 per month I got:
400 any network mins
unlimited landlines
300 texts
80Mb data
However after hankering for a smart phone i got an iphone 4 for xmas which was 4 months prior to my contract finishing.
In order to get an iphone 4 micro sim orange insisted i add the £10 per month 1GB data bundle. I was happy with that as my monthly cost was then only £20pm.
However i've now finished my 18 month contract and have lost my £10pm loyalty discount and 200 additional free minutes. So i'm now paying £30pm for
200 any network mins
unlimited landlines
300 texts
1GB data.
For me that obviously compares unfavourably with oranges rolling 1 month sim only iphone 4 plan but does anyone have any experience with getting any loyalty discount or added extras on an iphone contract?
I've been with orange for about 12 years but happy to look eslewhere as my iphone is direct from apple so not network locked.
Unless orange budge Tesco's sim only deals look tempting!0 -
Just been offered:
Motorola Atrix free
300minutes
Unlimited Texts
500mb Internet
£20 per month
I think it's a good deal considering the phone, any opinions?0 -

I'm really tempted by this phone. I really want a Galaxy S2 but don't want to leave Orange due to loyalty bonus, so think this is a good alternative. Did you get any accessories with that deal?0 -
I believe as it's an upgrade I get the dock with it. I'm in the same boat about the Galaxy, and the advisor confirmed that it's coming to Orange in early June. I'm tempted by this, but really want the Galaxy.0

With rumours of an S3 already, I'm thinking that you could probably wait forever if you wait for the next great mobile.
I think I'll go for the Atrix, the specs are fairly similar.

It5's a great deal at the moment as you get the 'work&play' kit with it. That's the TV dock thing AND the laptop dock. I've been looking to buy the laptop dock and the cheapest I can find is £350.
It is "Lapdock" that costs £300ish.
http://www.whatmobile.net/2011/05/motorola-atrix-on-sale-today/#more-7370A ‘Work and Play Kit’ for £49.99 (standard SRP £129.99) is available that comprises a remote control, mouse, HD Multimedia dock and keyboard. The Multimedia dock itself features three USB ports and an HDMI output.
The ‘Lapdock’, weighing 1.1Kg, adds a separate 11.6-inch screen, keyboard, trackpad and secondary battery that offers eight hours of battery life, using the ATRIX as the processor that slots in at the back. It has a SRP of £299.99 but is available at a reduced price on selected tariffs.0 -
I know that "the best" new mobile is pretty subjective, and depends on what each individual user wants and expects from his/her mobile, but would it be fair to say from the last few pages of this thread that the htc Desire S seems to be generally speaking the most sought after mobile available free on an upgrade at the minute?
I am just about due for an upgrade and am not really a phone expert, so just want to know what the best phone I can expect to get for free might be.
Thanks for opinions...0
