I currently pay £22 a month for Dolphin 30 (get 800 mins, 500 texts no internet) and my contract is up on 12th May. Had to phone before the last month because my phone is literally disintergrating!
So on my 2nd call this week to retentions (1st call was hopeless) I got;
HTC desire black £24.99
700 mins
free landline calls
550 texts
500mg internet
get to keep my current magic numbers (5)
For £25 a month inclusive of VAT
I probably could have done a little bit better if I had held out a few weeks, but I thought that was a pretty fair deal.0 -
I currently pay £20 a month for Racoon 25 (300 texts, 200 mins, unlimited landline, no internet). I frequently go over £20 a month by about £5 (internet mainly). My contract ends on 27th April and it took 4 calls to retentions to get the following:
HTC Desire HD Black
£29.99 for handset
600 mins
Unlimited texts (fair usage of 3000)
Unlimited internet (fair usage of 500mb)
£20 a month for 24 months0 -
I'm a pretty low user on £15 a month at present and Retentions just offered me
HTC Wildfire free
200 mins
1500 texts
500gb data
30 picture messages
£10 p/m for 24months
or HTC desire for £43 on same tariff
Both seems fine to me and more than enough for my needs0 -
I'm currently in the last month of my 18 month contract. I've got at the moment :
Racoon 25 - 200 anytime mins
300 anytime texts
200 loyalty mins
Unlimited landline mins
plus Free orange broadband
and a magic number
all for £10.21 per month inc vat (there's £10.21 loyalty credit reward per month)
I'm not a heavy user, hardly ever go over the 200 anytime minutes. Don't particularly text very much either (less than 50 per month).
Any advice from you good people on here at what I should be looking to get, I desperately need a new phone and obviously don't want to lose the free broadband! (had that for about 3-4 years now).0 -
I'm currently in the last month of my 18 month contract. I'm a fairly light user and after the first pointless offer from retentions (which was just something they offered new customers on their website) I was offered:
Samsung Galaxy S for 79.99
400 minutes
300 texts
Magic Numbers
500mb Internet
Unlimited Landland Calls
for £15 a month, for 18 months.
To be honest, I probably paid a bit too much for the phone but I'm pretty happy with the deal.0 -
Just been on the phone direct to retentions and got:
HTC Desire HD Black: Free
400 minutes (Canary 15)
500mb data
unlimited texts
5 photo messages / month
24 mth contract
£13.50 per month.
I think I did alright!0 -

I've just been offered the following, i currently pay £30 a month and rearly go over my allowances:
HTC Desire HD - Free
600 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
1GB Data allowence
Free email
£20 a month
24 month contract
I would prefer a 18 month but they wont seem to budge, think i might struggle to get better.0 -

You should easily be able to get better in terms of rental. Go to retentions if you have not yet!0
