After ringing retentions on thur and not getting a better deal I
requested my pac code on 13/01/11 to be used before 12th feb...I am now in my last 30 days.
The pac code came today along with the letter saying to ring for a better deal. Am I better ringing now or waiting until I am in the last few weeks to see if they will give me a better deal. I am after the Blackberry Bold 9780 with 500 min and 500mg of data and have seen some people have got it on good deals with Orange.
thank you
Ring now! If ur already in last month, you are better off ringing the PAC number now!0 -

PAC number is an Orange line only! Its just a different department who try once again to keep customers before they port their number over!0 -

Can someone explain agan how to actually end a contract?
Mine ends on 26th February but I assume if I don't call to cancel the contract they will keep charging?
Does requesting the PAC code mean - I am ending my contract? Or do I have to say please end the drect debit payments etc.
Sorry for what seems an obvious question. First time contract for me that's why.Debt free
2010 £11000/£9000
2011 £509 so far0 -

Call them atleast 30 days before you want to end the contract and do below.
1. Give them 30 days notice for ending your contract
2. Ask for your PAC code so you can port your number over to some other supplier
3. Ask them to send your last bill so that you can make a one off payment (You might already have paid the monthly rent as all charge the rent in advance)
4. Cancel Direct Debits and once ur bill comes, make a one off payment

EASILY achievable. in my experience it comes down to the person at the other end of the phone. one guy tried to tell me the absolute minimum I could pay was £23 a month with 9780. then the other day after calling up again I got exact same deal for £18 a month. partner has just got 400 mins unlimited texts and 500mb data for £17 a month with a blackberry torch! both 18 month contracts
also because they messed my bill up in september ive been paying the non direct debit charge as i dont trust their billing and she even refunded me all that!
alot of them just do not want to give out good deals. This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -

Trying to sort my other halfs retention deal
I had an offer from orange - wrote all of it on paper with a name and extention of the person i spoke to- then lost the peice of paper - have rung numerous times trying to get the same deal with no success.
Have now found the peice of paper with all details of the offer etc....the contract is not up until the 22nd, if I can get to speak to the same person - can they agree the deal or have I no chance.
Further more - if they dont roll with it, have i grounds to speak to a manager to force them to give me the offer that they originally offered me ?Pay One Debt 2012 Challenge #62 Next £10.65/£4100 -

Any offers quoted would be on their system and they are valid for 1 day only0
