Orange Retention Offers

Hi, new user but long time reader. Im wondering if anyone can advise me.
Im trying to upgrade using orange retentions department but they keep giving me the worst deals possible.
Ive rang about 9 times and each time i get same poor deals.
My contract has ended and my average bill for the last 6-8 months are around £60- £70 (£35 line rental) so i have been overspending alot.
Im currently on 1200 mins, 500 texts and 500mb internet but anything they offer is more than my current line rental with same mins/texts even with a crap nokia phone!
Ask for your PAC code. That might make them offer good deals.
If you go so much above ur allowance, go for the new 3 deals.. its 35£ pre month but has loads of minutes and unlimited (no fair usage policy) internet!0 -
Finally got through to 'retentions' - about a 20 minute wait.
Best deal I could get:
HTC Desire HD - free
400 mins Anytime
800 texts
500Mb data
Unlimited Landline Calls
24 month contract
£15.31 monthly.
Took the deal as that's way above my current usage.
Plan now is to sell the Desire HD, buy an iPhone 4 (and a sim cutter!) for £100 or so difference, and so, get a decent deal and tariff for the iPhone 4.
Great Deal! what is ur present tariff?0 -

ive asked for pac code, they gave without a second thought. I need to stay on orange as most people i know are on it (magic numbers lol).
Do they keep notes on the system? because the more i ring, the more hostile they are.0 -

When you get ur PAC code, it would come with a number to call.. try that! last option.. or go to high street and take an orange upgrade deal from them.. that might give u a better deal and option to keep ur number and remain on orange.0 -

I think you have loads to squeeze out. But considering the posts here, people on higher tariffs have not been offered very good deals.. But I think you should still try to get the tariff down to 20 atleast. You are currently on a higher tariff so you should be able to squeeze out.. And unless you photo messages, dont go for them and try to reduce rental further.. Insurance is not necessary unless you dont have household insurance0 -
Was thinking there was more to squeeze out - not to bothered about the pic messages or the insurance, pic messages i send 2-3 a month if that - also get insurance with my bank...so will definately be pushing for a lower line rentalPay One Debt 2012 Challenge #62 Next £10.65/£4100
