    Hi,

Without sounding negative its not that great a deal tbh these days. What is the term of the contract? 12/18/24?

Had a really poor offer. Currently on £27.50 with 200 mins and internet.

Was offered HTC Desire, 200 mins, unlimited text, unlimited (500Mb) internet £20 p/m 24 months.
Asked for a HTC Desire HD, best I could get was the above for £30 a month!

This was the upgrade dept. I'm going to try again and ask for a PAC code to see if the deals get WAY better.

Dont go to Upgrades. Go to retentions - 'Thinking of leaving Orange' option on their IVR. They shoudl offer you a nice deal!
  • Sorry to join in the middle of this one, but I'm just wondering - has anyone managed to negotiate with orange in the middle of your contract? Currently on dolphin 35 & paying £35 a month but have a good few months to on my contract but wondering if I can make this cheaper somehow.

Orange wont budge.. You have to be within 3 months of your contract end date to even start bargaining. Only way you might be able is to end contract early in case Orange have not fulfilled their commitment or changed their terms/conditions mid contract.
  • This is v good indeed. Your deal is better than anything on offer online - you have beaten the market!! May I ask what did you say to them to get such great deal?

I just went through and asked for my PUK number, he laughed! asked if I meant my PAC code :rotfl: and asked why I wanted it, so I told a white lie about going over to Three because they offered me a really good deal. He asked what the deal was I said

    Free HTC desire
    U/L texts
    400 mins
    500mb internet

He put me on a hold for a bit, then just offered my deal straight away.
  • Hi everyone,

Ive just got off the phone with Orange retentions for the 5th time and want to know what you all think to what they have offered me. I think its good but can I push for more?

    They offered:
    - 800 Xnet Minutes
    - Unlimited Texts
    - Unlimited Landline Calls
    - 500mb Internet
    - 24 months Insurance
    - Samsung Omnia 7
    - £23.86 per month for 24 months

Is that enough Internet in your opinion? Could I push for more?

    Thanks for your opinions. :D

What I've done before when I have wanted to change things mid contract is just call them up and explain the situation. Normally Ive found your allowed to change your tariff down by at least £5 but you have to be at least half way through your contact for this to work. Hope this helps :D
