Anyway I got the following:
Canary 24month -- £22.50/month
Samsung Galaxy S -- Free
800mins
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Internet
---
I don't really believe this stuff about every time you phone Orange. I phone Orange a lot, because they mess up a lot. I'm also very persistent in chasing down contracts. This year I've had a better deal than last.
Was the Galaxy S in stock? I have supposedly been on a back order for this phone for 3 weeks now and still no sign of it coming back into stock.0 -
Has anyone managed to get a HTC Desire from Orange lately?
I've been ringing up reguarly, was told they would be in stock Monday, rang Monday, was told they would be in stock today. Rang today, told no stock, only the HD. Which they offered 300 mins, unltd texts and 500gb internet for £22.50 and phone for £50.
I just want the non-HD Desire though! My contact runs out in a month and they don't seem to be in any rush to help, I'm sure normally they have started ringing me by now but nothing so far. I was told the waiting list for the desire is 3-4 months!0 -

Hiya,
I think this is the right thread to be posting in; didn't want to make a new thread on a heavily discussed topic!
My Orange phone contract enters its final 3 months next Monday, I pay on average over £50/month on bills (sometimes over £100! - depending on if I've been abroad etc etc etc other business stuff) I've been with Orange for about 9years now I think.
They wont discuss upgrades with me yet, but I'd like to get an idea of what I may get before contacting them.
I'd like the new Desire HD, plus as much free stuff with the smallest line rental/month!
What sort of thing are orange likely to offer me? Would it be worthwhile going through phones4u or carphone warehouse instead?
ThanksSaph

Finally Orange got the Desire HD in today (at least for people who had back ordered them).
They offered me the following deal:
Racoon 25 (24mths)
=======
Free Desire HD
800 xnet mins
unlimited landlines
300 texts
500Mb data
£20 per month
but in the end I went for this deal which (for me) was even better:
Free Desire HD
800 xnet mins
unlimited landline calls
1300 texts
500Mb data
15 photo messages
Free mobile internet dongle (1Gb usage per month)
for £22.50 per mth on a 24mth contract
Great deal.Moneysaving since 2004!0 -
well for what its worth. I just hot offered £20 line rental for 24months, unlimited texts, unlimited web and something like 5, or 700 free mins! Phone for free and a free 32GB card! Thats on the phones. Also went into store but they charge a flat fee of 50 for the phone, plus couldn't get that deal. I got the phone offer through retentionsSaph

Went through to Orange retentions today on behalf on my mum. She doesn't use the phone so much, but that was largely due to the fact that her current handset is pants. I got her the following deal:
Orange San Francisco Phone: £109 (includes £10 credit which can be transferred to her bill)
600 xnet mins
unlimited texts
500Mb data
5 photo messages
£11 per month (18mth contract)
With the price of the phone and taking of the £10 credit) the monthly tariff over 18mths effectively becomes: £16.50
The Orange San Fran is worth going for as it's a fantastic phone- a smart phone at an amazing price. It's not quite as snazzy as the iPhone, but it has the same type of AMOLED screen and you get access to loads of apps.Moneysaving since 2004!0
