lesley_rod.. so that wasn't with orange direct then ? and what is your monthly spend as orange won't budge for me off..

Dolphin 35, w890i for £40 one off and £25 pm

    or

    Dolphin 35, w890i free and £30 pm

    cd02.

Yes this was with Orange direct, the best with the renewal team was 18 month on Dolphin 35 100 call mins and u/l texts for £25 (phone free). The phone's used by my 16 year old daughter who is now going to be paying the rental herself. I just kept repeating that, as she had to pay this herself now £25 was too much and he asked if I wanted to speak to retentions. When through to retentions I didn't mention leaving just that 3 had same phone for £20 a month (400 call mins and u/l texts). Initially she said she could put a £15 a month discount but then said on this phone she could go to £20 discount.
Over recent months there's been no overspend. The original contract was for 600 mins, 600 texts. She regularly went over on the texts before but we then changed to u/l texts and since then overspend has been pennies.

Orange have said that I can upgrade at the end of May (my current contract ends in August), if I do upgrade does this mean my contract restarts so I'm with them for another 18 months?

This may be a daft question, I've always waited until the end of the contract and move elsewhere before.

daisykinn, I just upgraded yesterday and was told the remaining days (<30) would be added onto the end of the new contract. I would double check on that point before renewing as it could be 3 months for you.

I've just got off the phone from Orange Customer relations and have managed to get the following deal (with a 7 day cooling off period for the approval of the handset):

£20 per month (incl. VAT) = 600 mins, unlimited txts
    Free Sony Ericsson K850i
Free 4GB Sony M2 Memory card
    18 month extension
    Retain all my magic numbers.

I was debating whether to go for the LG Viewty (they offered it to me for £4.99) but I can return the Sony and get the LG sent out if needed.

    Is this a decent deal?

Looks pretty good to me, what did you say in order to get that deal offered?

I have been ringing their Customer Relations department quite frequently these last few days so whether that has anything to do with it I don't know.

I tried to get them to lower my tariff by an extra £5 but they just wouldn't budge.

Like I say this is a 7 day trial period for the phone so in theory I still haven't renewed my contract with Orange for another 18 months - I also confirmed this with them.

    Darren.
  • I talked to Orange last night and got the following deal:

    HTC Touch
    18 month contract
    13.50/month
    100mins Unlimited texts.

Not sure whether this is a good deal or not...

The only phone that appeals to me at the moment is nokia 8800arte (no other phone appeals to me at the moment so u could say yes i have expensive taste)

i have been offered the phone but i have to pay £200 (thats the same contract i am on same terms on an 18month contract) or if i change to a 12 month contract then i ahve to pay £350. the weid thing is that the phone doesnt get further discounted if i do a 24month contract. well anyway i have been offered 1000 minutes for £35/month and the phone again for £200 but in short i want the phone for free.

should i ask for my pac code? any ideas plz?? or in short anyone got the 8800arte for free yet?

    thanx

Hi, got the 8800 Arte free but on an 18 month contract with 1800 minutes, u/l txt and insurance. Also get the premier contact centre so calls are answered quickly. Downside is it's £45/month, two handsets on the same account with monthly bill of around £100 for both. Previous offer was 800 mins, care, u/l txts + 2000 free minutes per month. OH is using 2300 minutes a month so I'm a little bit uneasy about the drop in minutes.
