When is the ebst time to call retenions? My contract is up on the 5th of may. I was called from orange last week and offered a deal but I didnt like it and was told I would have to ring when my contract ends for another offer. Is this right?
I have looked at the deals they do and they only do the phone i want on pay as you go. I want a motorola U9.Im currently on dolphin and pay £35 a month for 500mins and 500 txts. So many orange customers pay less and have more mins or txts. Not sure what to do and when to call retentions.Anyone have any idea please?Thanks0 -
ring in the last month of your contract, you should be looking to considerably reduce your line rental as the phone your after is a cheaper handset. Or get a high end handset such as n95 8gb or the such like and sell it on and by the phone of your choice. good luck0

Call 30 days before your contract is up and ask for a PAC code.
I have just left orange after 11 years as I couldn't put up with the India call centres any more. Paying around the same- but acutally talking to a real person at Vodafone, not a 'could you spell..... please' with EVERY part of my name or address.baldly going on...0 -

Every time i've ever called orange i always get put though to the British call centers... Its the reason i tend to like orange, i guess i've just been lucky0 -
Has anyone ever managed to get a blackberry for free with Orange? I dont know how good these phones are but I saw a pink one(yes I know)but Im a girly girl but maybe pink is to over the top. When you browse to go online on these phones do they charge a lot?Thanks0

If you have had occasion to call recenlty (funny enough retentions, phone problems and senior complaints are in UK), all simple enquiries are overseas, If there is a degree of thought you get told to call back, and if you are really lucky you may get transferred back to the UK.
They never had foreign call centres until 2-3 years ago, then it went downhill rapidly- no customer service after 10 or 11pm, billing and accounts transferred overseas.
I actually PAID a disconnection charge to be able to get rid of them (I am a tight git and it takes something serious to make me part with extra money)baldly going on...0 -

You can get one for free if you are a new customer. Someone on here got a free upgrade last week, i am hoping to do the same with a few more phone calls.
Is it true that the offers you are made are logged on the screen and the rep is supposed to better it each time?0 -

I wouldnt be suprised if they logged in on to their system. I suppose its to keep track of the offers they offer. They probaly offer you the worse deal 1st.I dont really want to be on a 18 month contract again.0 -
Hmm, Im not a new customer tho. I saw an ad in the paper today, the same offer they offered me. The woman who rang me said the offer she offered me was due to me being a loyal customer. Then I saw the same thing in the paper for new customers!!!Im a bit dissapointed to be honest.I will try and ring them see what i get offered.

they log it but i'm not sure thats its always to better it.. depends who you speak to thou.. they made me an offer and when i called back to try and better it, the lady told me she couldn't make another offer after one had been logged on the system.. think its as people say thou, keep trying and you'll hopefully get what you want in the end..0
