Hi
First post but just had to tell on the deal I have just received from Orange:
£12.50 a month (24 months) including Sony Elm, 200 mins, unlmtd txts, unlimtd internet, free 8gb memory card, free laptop 500mb dongle and a parrot in car bluetooth system.
I am over the moon!0 -
If you've only been spending £25 per month, I'd say you have no chance of getting that....have you been going over your contract and getting higher bills?
If not:
£25 x 18 = 450
That's how much orange have made off you in 18 months. Not really much, especially when you consider their costs: staff; your phone; contract; premises etc etc
So for them to give you a top of the range phone like the HTC, then a cheap contract well they'd make next to no money.
I'd say aim for a slightly higher contract, maybe £30 per month with the desire.
I hope you get what you want, but I'mnot sure you will. Remember, if you aren't happy with the deal thats offered, then just walk away and have a think. When you ring back you may get someone different who will offer a better deal. It really does matter who you get, something to do with how they work the system... blah blah
Hmm. I will just leave them probably if thats the case. They have phoned me every day and i keep missing the calls. Dammit.0 -
Last month I got 400 mins, unlim. text and internet. 18 month contract for £9.79 p/m. A great deal as I wanted to keep my current phone anyhow!
I told them I could get nearly the same with Vodafone (£11.66 - albeit after cashback) and then we bartered out the deal.

Thanks for this. Shall be a good bartering tool to have! Per chance do you have a link to the vodafone deal?0 -
To everyone trying to get a cheap HTC Desire on Orange. Just quit your contract and get the T-Mobile £15pcm. You pay £191 for the phone outright. Get 300 mins, unltd text and unltd data (3GB) for 24 months. Works out on average at around £24pcm. And since Orange is buying out T-Mobile this year, you'll be back on Orange within a year.
It's just a thought. And is of course utterly useless if you do need to chat on the phone more than 300 mins per month.0 -

Hi I was able today to upgrade my phone with orange I asked for the desire I was on the dolphin package 200talk mins unlimited text just been with orange the 18 months Almost. Have been given HTC desire on a 24 month contract £22.50 a month 300 mins unlimited text and 500mb internet just had to pay £29.50 for the phone. I thought that was quite good as i have only been with them 18 months.0

T-mobile seem to the best deal for the desire for 18months. 100mins + unlimited texts(using booster) +unlimited data. £15 per month + 226 for the phone. Which averages out at £27.50 per month.
Im hoping that they will concider giving me that for the £25 i currently pay them. When i decide whether to renew my contract or not.0
