Just been back onto orange and had decided to take the 12 mtn option.

Decided against the Sony Ericsson K810i as I saw the Orange SPV M700 update to my M600. Found out this phone does have GPS hidden as it is not in any spec lists.

So £25 a month for 500 xnet minutes but I had to pay £30 for the phone due to 12 mth contract. Not too bothered as I can sell my SPV M600 for at least £60/£70 quid.

All my accesories will work with the M700 but I will need to but a mini sd card now....

Still happy and much better than what I am paying now.

Further to my post above (Orange couldn't trace that offer for some reason), I've now got an even better deal (I still have over 2 months left on my current contract):

Free K810i (Should be 49.99 - but they've waived the cost)
    225 mins
    100 texts
    1 magic number
    £25 upgrade fee
    £15 a month
    18 month contract

Phone out of stock at the moment though...

I'm happy with the phone I have and have just been offered the following from orange:

225 x-network mins and 100 texts for £10 a month - only downside 18 month contract which is putting me off.

Anyone managed similar on 12 months or better.?

which phone are they offering you.

I have been offered the same contract with SPV M700 but 9 months at £15 and 9 months at £20. Which I don't think is good deal at all.
  • Hi, just a post for opinions about my retention offer from Orange.

    I was on a 12month Business 120 plan paying £25/month.
Benefits of free 0800,free answerphone, free orange care.

    The offer is an 18month renewal to 240 mins/month & 100 texts.
    Free orange care, 0800's, answerphone.
Plus a free upgrade to a SPV M700
All for £15/month ........is this a good offer and if so, anyone else should try bargaining for it in a similar position.

Thanks Maniac. I was on the same deal as your Dad (TMO, Orange Panther 45, 12mths cashback) and I wouldn't have bothered to negotiate a new deal with Orange if it wasn't for this forum.
After seeing your post I called them and they looked at my usage, asked what handset I wanted, and offered me the following deal.

    Nokia N95 (free)
    150 Mins
    50 Texts
    Racoon 25 discounted to £15/month.
    12 month contract.

No haggling involved and I got a deal which I'm very happy with.

    Thanks again,
    K.
    :D

P.S. No real complaints about the TMO cashback deal. I followed their rules and although they take a while to pay the cash back, it has been hassle free.
  • Could someone tell me if this is a good deal please?
Orange have just offered me a samsung u600 or a lg shine both in pink, with either 225 mins and 130 txts
or 150 mins and 300 txts with free weekend txts and after 7pm in the week.
All this is on an 18 month contract for £10 a month.

The last contract was on a cashback which from what i have read on here is maybe not to good now.
I think there was other phones but these were in pink and it is for my 17 year old daughter.
Also for £15 month she said i could have 300 mins and 400 txts with the free weekend and 7pm txts.
Thanks to anyone that can help.
