Just off with retentions can lufcgirl confirm if this is a good offer: i was on the old dolphin £35 500min,500txts monthly rollover reduced to £20 now out of contract and have been offered HTC hero
£20 for handset
18months
400mins
1300 texts
unlimited landline
£20 per month
I really wanted the unlimited internet included but will be charged a further £5 a month is this the best offer i am likely to get for the HTC hero?
Yeah it's a very good deal, because looking at what you've been offered someone has messed up and offered you 1300 texts instead of the maximum 600 on the same talk plan. You will get charged for the internet for the £5 bundle regardless, can't do anything with that. And on a new contract you'd pay (I think) either £127 or £97 for the handset with only 200 mins, 300 texts and unlimited landlines so it's a decent offer.0 -
Hi Lufcgirl, thanks for all the assistance you have given everyone on the thread.
One more for you if you have time to answer.
Just come to an end for my loyalty period, now looking for a new deal or transfer to another provider.
Am on Racoon25, always stay well within monthly limits. Not specifically looking for a phone, just need best new deal to minimise monthly charges. What can I expect please?
If there is nothing attractive then I'm probably just going to go for a nice phone with 200 mins or so and internet - 3 do the Samsung 5600 with 200/unlimited texts & internet for £18/month unless you can recommend better/similar (5560?) with Orange?
Thanks for any advice.0 -

Probably none because it isn't significantly cheaper from Tesco.0 -
Completely right, I haven't had a single customer say the Tesco deal was better and they were leaving. However I've had a couple about Vodafone's.0

If you don't need a new phone then the obvious choice is sim only. You'd get the same as any customer for three months and then you can get discounts from retentions after that.0 -
Hi, I have just got off the phone to retentions.
I'm currently on dolphin 15 (18month at £15), which ends in about a week. I don't usually go much over as I usually text - bills only have extras from occassionally phoning numbers not included or from roaming charges.
I have been offered:
200 minutes
Unlimited texts
80mb of internet
and LG GT505 or LG GW520 free
(18 month contract)
For £15 a month.
Is this a good deal?
Which phone? I like the look of the 505 and the camera on it, but I'm not sure about having something totally touchscreen (would I get used to texting with it).
Any ideas or help much appreciated!
Thank you.I generally lurk :0)0 -
For Lufcgirl,
I am out of contract I think with Orange, currently on £15 a month loyalty offer for 400 mins and 500 texts a month.
Want an IPhone but not sure where I stand offer wise as I used to pay £30 a month until they gave me such a good deal.
What are my options?
Cheers

I'm on the same contract as you which runs out this week. I think I'd settle for that but I quite fancy the Samsung Jet.0 -

I just checked - mine runs out on the 17th (I'm just a bit behind with things at the moment!). I was offered the extra 100 minutes, but had to ask about the internet.
I didn't ask about Samsung phones, as I only have experience of the cheaper models and am really put off by the user interface on those. Might be worth asking?I generally lurk :0)0
