I must be a valued Orange Customer.

Dolphin 35 (500 texts and 300 minutes) on a 12 month contract. £10 per month, with a free N95. Wowee!

Blimey, how did you manage to wangle that offer?

Sounds like exactly what I'd like!

I have been known to go over my limit - but my average is low so it's not worthwhile to get the higher tariff IMO.

I text Ireland alot too, for which they don't include a bundle. This costs 20p per text. But, it's someone who I stay in touch with every once in a while so the texts aren't regular.

Dec and Jan bill were just £40 ish pounds. Feb was £68. That must be why I got this deal?

Also, I had a £5 unlimited mobile internet bundle on the account which I didn't realise and hadn't quite worked out on my contract which he has removed. You got it free for 2 months, and then they kept charging me for it. Grrr.

    Anyway, very happy.

Sounds like I'm about the same as you usage and spend-wise.

So how did you manage to get it for £10?

Did they offer it to you straight away or did you have to barter with them?

I'd already rang about a Nokia 6500, but nothing was agreed. This was on file, but nothing specific.

He just came straight out with the offer really. Was completely amazed!
  • Help!

My contract with Orange expires tomorrow.

I am currently on a £25 a month plan and get unlimited texts at the evening and weekend, and get 150 mins call time. I have been with Orange for over 2 and a half years.

I wish to upgrade to the LG Viewty. However, the times I have rang they have just offered me the phone free when it comes back in stock. I rang around a month ago and they offered me 600 mins and the free phone but this wasn't placed on file as the girl yesterday said she wouldn't be able to do that. The guy offering me the 600mins said if I waited till my contract expires then I would get more loyalty points however the appeal of just a free phone is not grabbing me. On my last upgrade I did not negotiate a better tariff either!

I understand that I keep to my tariff and my bill rarely passes the £36 mark but surely they will eventually offer me a better deal to keep me...

Any advice would be grately appreciated.

    Thanks!

They talked about the loyalty thing with me when I first rang, but my contract doesn't expire til 5th March and they gave me a good deal.

I'd ring up, and ask for an offer right now. Tell them the phone you want. And see what they say leave it. Check T-Mobiles Flex Tariffs, and others, and see if you can find a better deal. And then ring back Orange again and tell them about the better deal (make one up if you cant find one). And just keeping asking the questions...
  • Thanks for the response highguy. I have used examples of the T-Mobile deals and told them that I want a Viewty (which currently isn't in stock) but it really seems that they ain't gonna budge at all because my bill isn't in the higher band which is really disappointing.

O2/T-Mobile may well be getting my business!

Then ... ring up and ask for your PAC code and to give your 30 day notice to cancel your contract. :)
  • My PAC code is already coming so gonna try one last try on Monday and if no joy then I am gonna join T-Mobile with a cashback offer...

Orange are out of stock of Viewtys and are not expecting a deliver any time soon... all of the stock which arrived on Wednesday has gone apparently.

Nor do they have any Nokia N95s... or my contract either, I gave up.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
