Its all down to the amount of loyalty points you have available. My previous deal included the 1000 extra minutes, and I was paying £35 line rental, my average bill is around £65-70.

Ah, and if you negotiate a nice contract then does that use up the loyalty points that have been amassed over the past 8 years? Or do they just remain on record and can be used again next time around?

Loyalty points are built up over the course of a contract. And threatening to leave doesn't achieve anything because they can't do more just because you threaten to leave.

What would happen is, the advisor would make you an opening offer, if you liked it, then take it. If you didn't the advisor would then try and negotiate a better deal for you. There is no button we click that automatically gives a better offer because you requested a PAC code or to disconnect.

And finally, with loyalty minutes (I hope someone grasps it because I hate explaining it!), is that for example. You have 600mins at the moment and so only use 400 of those. So we could offer you more minutes on top of the 600 because realistically, we know you wouldn't use them. If you have been exceeding it, then the system wouldn't let us offer them for free.
  • lufsgrl do you think mines a good retentiön deal.

It depends on what you consider to be a good deal. The Blackberry 9700 is one of the most expensive handsets we have at the moment. It's better than a new customer offer and provided you stick within the minutes and texts it's excellent.

Can I ask what you mean by "loyalty minutes".

    Thanks!

    Just extra X-NET MINUTES.
  • just rang retentiöns and they gving extra 300mins so 1500mins unlim txt with wap n mms for £25.
  • I got offered 6 months free internet last year which I took, that's up next month and changing to o2 as soon as my MAC code comes through from Orange as they are cheaper, faster and more reliable
  • Hopefully I can negotiate a free Blackberry Bold on an 18 month contract with Panther 30 (25 a month) or ideally and if it exists Panther 25 (which I assumed would be 20 a month)?

Hope I have enough loyalty points...
