Best deal I've seen is to retain an exisiting customer that my colleague did today, was 800 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited BB internet for £20 p/m. She had built up double what most customers have for an upgrade though, but amazing deal!
Hmm not bad at all! Im just trying to get a comparison for the deal i got. New connection (no previous contract with orange), £30 for panther40 + free 9700.

Btw was the deal you mentioned 18m or 24m? or 12m for that matter..

This is similar to the retention deal I got on Saturday. Free HTC hero, 800 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited internet, free insurance and a car charger for £20 on an 18 month contract. Needless to say I was very happy with this!

    Hi

Has anyone got any stories/success with Orange Retentions department, as there doesnt seem to be a thread.

My question is what did they offer you and when?

My friend was with orange for about 8 years on pay as you go. He called about 2months-ish ago to see if they could match or beet an offer 02 where doing on there simplicity. He was looking for a cheap data package with a few free texts and mins, for a new smart phone he was looking at getting sim free.

They didnt come up with anything for him, and i said they prob wont because they will just see you as trying it on, where as if you actually request your PAC code they might see you differently and actually looking at leaving.

He made his mind set to leave orange and move to 02, and when requesting is PAC he recived a phone call later on, is there anything they could do to get him to stay. After doing a credit check to see if he would pass for a month by month sim, they offered him an iPhone 3GS for £20 a month and sure it was only over a 12 month period.

I was quite surprised at this, and put it more down to orange wanting to keep there customers due to how many they might of lost with 02 and the iPhone and them now having it them selves.

He didnt take the offer in the end, and kept with 02 mainly due to the 3G+ connection being better where he lives, and not keep of long contracts.

    Just goes to show though.

There are no deals on the iPhone, especially for £20 a month, and they don't offer any handset with a month by month sim, hence the name sim only
  • Hi lufcgirl,
I am with orange since Sept. 2009 for 18 months. I am out o work now and was planning to let orange know if they could reduce my monthly bill.
Also when it would be time to upgrade, would I still get the same retentions offers or the second grade because I downgraded?
    Thanks
