My 18 month contract is up the end of January, but i can upgrade now, i know my next 2 months bills will be my basic allowance of £25 but the july and june 09 bills were for £50 plus, my question is if orange work out my upgrade on the past 6 months bills wont it pay me to go for an upgrade now when my used payment history is greater?0

Upgrades for the new smartphones appear to be thin on the ground. It's a shame that Orange appear to be missing out on HTC HD2 and Xperia X10.0

I've been on orange for years, my contracts just come to an end, currently paying £25 a month. I'm not wanting a phone just a 30 day rolling contract. not wanting to spend more than £10 a month.0

She is curretnly on a £15 per month 30 day rolling contract and want to switch to a contract to get a new phone. I got my PAC a few days ago then called today.
I was offered 100 minutes & 100 texts for £15 per month on a 24 month contract with an HTC Tattoo (plus £15 for the handset).
Reading the last few pages of this thread that doesn't seem like a very good deal.
The minutes & texts are not a concern as she doesn't use that many. I asked for an 18 month contract and got a very prompt refusal - no way, can't be done.
The £15 a month is slightly better than on the website for new customers but still not a great deal.
Is it worth calling back to speak to someone else or time to go elsewhere?
Was passing an Orange shop so popped in and asked them what their upgrade deal would be.
100 minutes, unlimited texts and free HTC Tattoo for £15 per month - 24 months again tho.
Slighltly better package than offered by retentions.
Apparently i fall into upgrade class 2.The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
400 mins, unlimited text, 80MB of browsing plus Nokia 6700 - £10 a month/18month contract. Any nice?0

Thanks for the tips, I think I will look at either the Samsung Jet or HTC phones as browsing around on the net their seems to be some good deals offered with these phones and both are in line with what I would like.
Can I ask what you mean though by "taking money off your line rental eats into your loyalty"?
I rang back yesterday and got offered 1200 mins and unlimited texts plus free web upto 500mb and a free LG505 for £25 per month, does this seem like a good deal?
I still would prefer a HTC Hero or even a Samsung Jet but they said that they couldnt do them at that price. I did mention that I would be happy with less minutes as I think 700-800 would me more suited to my needs but they said there system wouldnt allow them to reduce their minutes.0 -
The GT505 is quite a nice handset, one of a few supporting Orange Maps. Not had much dealings with it myself to know, but if I were you I'd snap that deal up, although I'm not entirely sure what price plan they're on about. Try asking for a Nokia 6700, they're quite good phones and *I think* in the same price bracket as the GT505. Not touchscreen but perfect for everyday use.0

Lucy do retentions allow the loyalty points to be used for the insurance for the iphone?0
