Orange Retention Offers

You need to ring 150 from your Orange phone and follow the options saying that you're thinking of leaving Orange. That gets you through to retentions. To be fair, averaging £50 a month having been with them for six years you are right in the top band, and should be really looking to get the phone for free and a reduction in your tariff. What tariff are you on now?
Exactly, think I'm on dolphin 30 but get £5 off a month for loyalty. But have insurance and off peak wap but kept going over that so thats how wills so high now got £8.50 for wap anytime so hopefully shouldn't be as high but past year bills have been £50 upwards0 -
I've never been offered any discount for loyalty - even after being with them 9 out of ten years - and they poached me back from O2 by contacting me! Is this a recent thing?0

At the moment I'm on a £15 a month tariff (with £5 discount) 400 x-net mins & 100 txts & my contract ends in @ 3 weeks. Have already asked them for my PAC code (& received it). Best offer I've had from them so far is on new 18 month contract - NO handset - £25 month & I'll get 800 X-net mins, unlimited texts, unlimited landline calls, free mobile internet & a free internet dongle for laptop with 3gb allowance.
Looks like I'll be moving networks soon.0 -
Question - if I choose not to renew because I'm waiting on a handset that comes out after my contract expires, do I lose all retentions clout/bargaining power for when it IS available?0

I'm not sure you are correct there. Any discounts applied to your current contract, apply for the length of that contract. After the contract expires, you will be charged the full price of the contract on a rolling basis. Any discounts do not have to be applied.0 -
I've been with Orange 10 years, been getting retention deals the last 3 as go straight through to the option that says 'if you're thinking about leaving orange'.
I have just renewed contract (due to end June 8th), having read here maybe i could of got a better deal but have following:
400 cross network mins
300 texts
unlimited landline calls
free internet access
for £14.68
Have got a new phone coming but didn't want anything too special so just stuck with a 6301. Though now wondering whether to have a proper look at current phones and send that back on 7 days and get something different (assuming i'll have to pay something, but hopefully not too much).
Last time my contract expired, I didn't realise and got a very high bill as all my 'bundles' had disappeared, whereas I'd assumed (wrongly) they would just carry on.0 -

Crazy Jamie is correct. I have just been offered the same deal that I was offered whilst still in contract. I also confirmed that this offer would stay open to me for the foreseeable future. I just need to decide what phone I want!Gone ... or have I?0 -

My advice would be to ring up retentions again and see what deals they would have been able to offer you had you not taken out that deal. That's what I did. If you find an alternative deal that you like, or think you could get a better one, send the phone back and start again. It may be worth the risk for the £5 or so that it will cost you to send the phone back."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0
