Orange Retention Offers

Yup, as long as someone can pass the credit check anyone can transfer an acc to anyone else. You can even change the number when you transfer if you want too, but I guess in this case you wouldn't want to.
I have a feeling that once the transfers gone through it breaks the audit trail on the acc (ie it creates a whole new acc) so that's why it's better to get the upgrade before you transfer. But its been a while since I worked on the front line so I maybe wrong there. . .
Thanks Jon, much appreciated0 -
I spoke to a girl today and am having the LG Renior with 600 mins and Unlimited texts plus 25MB of internet for £20.
Beats the £30 for 400 mins and unlim texts, and before that I paid £35 for 500 minutes and Unlimited texts.
Is this a decent deal? It was a choice between the Renior, C905 or the HTC Diamond.0 -

I have just under 3 weeks to go before my contract is up. I phoned today and was given an offer which wasn't great. The lady told me that if I ring on the final day of my contract I'll have more loyalty to use and therefore get a better offer.
Is this correct? I'll probably ring again shortly to see if there's any improvement but wondered if I left it until that time, would I get an even better deal?0 -

Couldn't get one worth having. Went to O2 instead, via mobiles.co.uk0 -

I've posted on another thread about my Orange retention woes...
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1433789
But maybe the deal they offered me might be up your street...
750mins
unlimited texts
evening+weekend data
for £35 per month
But that doesn't include data during the day which is crap so you will have to add an extra £5 per month so that's £40 per month. Oh and the phone will cost you £50/60.
But if you were a new customer you'd get this-
1 HTC Touch HD (for free)
600mins
unlimited texts
for £29.36 per month
+£5 for 500mb data
= £34.36 per monthMoneysaving since 2004!0 -
My Dad has just been offered the following:
Free SE C905
300mins
100texts
Unlimited landline calls
3 Magic numbers
Free Orange BB
£15 pm for 18 months
Not sure if he has accepted the deal yet but its not too bad!"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

I wanted an SE C905, but when I got through to disconnections was told that I would have to pay at least £35 a month - more than I already pay.
They wanted me off the phone I think as they wouldn't even discuss with me changing mins etc.
So annoying that there are beter deals for new customers.
PAC code on it's way...!0 -

That's a good deal. I was offered the same package but the phone was £195 - to which he dropped to £95. My contract expires on 9th Feb - I'll try again nearer then. Did your Dad talk to retentions?0
