Yesterday was a hugely productive day. I have my summer jobs list of decluttering and also sorting out things.
I cleared out items for the garden
Trimmed down the overcrowding Bush at the front
    Strimmed the back garden
Another bag of clothes has gone to charity
    Sorted out under my bed
Cases and holiday clothes back in the loft
Decluttered the drawers in the conservatory
    Cleaned out the rabbit
Washed bedding and all holiday clothes
Cleared out part of the garage

Decided to change the spare room into an office so researched costs and what I need to do. That's now in place ready to start.

    Big jobs left to do:
Paperwork sorting. 12 months of it to be precise.
    Bedding cupboard needs sorting out.
    Under stairs cupboard
Decluttering three boxes from the loft which will be done once office furniture is in place.
Sand and varnish the kitchen worktops again.

I've washed DD's bedding this morning and that is now in the wash ready to hang out if the weather holds off.

I've managed to read three books as well since being off, which makes me happy with the progress and the ability to relax. I think I'll tackle the paperwork box next as that's in the bedding cupboard and I'll sand and and varnish one evening so it's dry in the morning.

I've got 4 weeks left to get this all sorted, which is achievable if I can keep up the momentum.

Money is okay. I've got £150 left to last me until next Tuesday and all big bills are out. I've got a few things to pay for for DD this week but I'm hoping to not be in my overdraft this month and start that cycle again of staying out of it.

Picking up a glass piece I made at Christmas this morning. I accidently picked up the wrong one at Christmas and when I went to return it, the lady wasn't there so had to leave it outside without picking mine up. I just kept forgetting!

We did have the dentist but the phoned this morning cancelling.

I got motivated today and did the dreaded paperwork. 12 months worth is now sorted and tidied away.

I managed to sand and varnish the worktops too and that then lead to sorting the downstairs cupboard. I had to buy new varnish as my old one had congealed, its now in the bin.

I need to do the bedding and towel cupboard next. It's got tons in it and it needs organising and decluttering.

Then the last job is get myself an office space sorted.

Still hoping to stay out my overdraft.

Not much achieved today. DD had a 4 hour camp so I lingered near there.

Got home and the front hedges needed trimming back. I did it, but my back isn't happy about it at all.

Tomorrow is tackling the upstairs bedding cupboard. Then it'll leave me free to start the new office. Hopefully after tomorrow everything will have a home that can have one, and the only things left to sort are the things for the office. I'm excited about the new project and converting the room. It should look a lot better when it is done. My dad is going to help me dismantle the bed and put up the desk and shelves. It's going to be my new working area for all things crafty and all things uni wise. I've figured I can do it for around £250 and I've got some bits in there to sell so that should leave me having to only pay around £100. I'm sure I can find that if I try hard enough. I forgot about Internet cashback so I've already found £37. £63 to go.

Sorry about the rabbit, hope the remaining rabbit adjusts soon. It’s hard for animals when they lose their companions, my old boy was distraught when his lady cats died (he has lost 3 in his 15 years poor love) and would search all the cat beds pulling out the blankets in case they were hiding from him. 😭

You sound like you’ve got loads done since coming coming back from holiday. Well done. 👏🏻

I did the upstairs cupboard last night. I got a bit fidgety and decided to get it done. I have a nag of wool ready to donate go a craft club. A lady will pick it up and distribute it accordingly so that left some space. It means that everywhere is good to go for my new office space and that will mean a huge declutter.

Today I haven't done as much. I washed the spare room bedding to now be put away, the towels and throws from the sofa before putting them back on.

I need to still do my clothes drawers and then next week is time to convert the spare room. That'll allow the things to come out of the loft and be organised and sorted. I'm happy with the progress so far.

I needed a top up shop today so that was done. I have £72 to last me till Tuesday to keep me out of my overdraft.

I worked out the summer money should be around £600 at the end of this month. I'll use that to pay for the office space so all that is accounted for.

Credit card is at £2400. This is my biggest focus at the minute.

  • Just weighing up money options.
The CC has 0% interest till November, getting rid of it would be the final independence freedom. Mentally this would be the better debt to pay for a sense of closure. Currently coming in at £100 a month although I am.paying extra.
    Or
I could pay part of the remortgage that I got to help pay for the kitchen.  I transferred existing debt onto this and it was then put as a sub account. Interest is around2% and balance is at £3750. Wouldn't give me the same satisfaction paying it off and I'd incur penalty charges of 5%. Still would be cheaper in the long term than the 2% per year. To pay this off would make me £47 better off a month.

I want to reduce as many monthly payments as I can. Combined it makes £147. I can achieve both in the next 12 months, its just which goes first. 🤔

I started to dismantle the bed tonight and have got stuck on one screw that will not come out. I'm so annoyed with it as I have almost done.

I also went paddleboarding with DD. She took to it amazingly but now wants a paddleboard. I've heard that some have just become half price in asda so will be up and  out first thing to check. We got there after 5pm as this is when it's free. It was busy with a lot of sports and some outdoor swimming.

I've decided to stick with the credit card paying off. In November the APR is around 20% and this will be on the whole amount so I'm thinking this is the better option. I can then switch to the other debt.

I'm so tired tonight. The sun, fresh air and water have all worn me out.
