No, to consolidate two claims into one, to avoid an abuse of the court process, if for the Court to order the Claimant to do.  You do not have to make a formal N244 application or pay money for basic case management.  The court should do that of their own volition to avoid two hearings and two lots of costs, in the interests of justice.

Ask the local court to consolidate the claims once you get notice of allocation, if the CCBC are being stupid.

Yes, it appears that VCS are no longer using Elms, and have taken that work back in house.

VCS should've already written to you and the court telling you that.

Morning can anyone advise, with regard to the 2 claims for 1 I have received notice of transfer to the court, still an hour away but better than Northampton, but not for the other. It says on money claim DQ Filed, I filed them both at the same time and more than within the time limit on the 03 July, they didnt put it on till the 16th.
Also received a letter from VCS now saying they are dealing not Elms and D can pay £185 for the one transferred to the court, but nothing for the other.   Many thanks

In many respects the court location is a little irrelevant (apart from possibly local knowledge) as any hearing is likely to be held remotely - telephone or video call.

Why don't you call the CCBC and ask them rather than hoping someone here can guess?  Have the two claims been consolidated?

Login to MCOL , copy and paste the claim history from claim 1 below , followed by the claim history from claim 2 as well

Chances are the administration are behind and the second one will be done in due course , not that there is a rush !!

On both DQ replies you asked for a court near you , so are you saying that it wasn't granted and a different court further away was substituted ?? Is why can't you provide more background information instead of one liners ? Making us guess !!

As Court claim hearings are remote on teams or a phonecall or video call , why does it matter ?? You will be at home no matter what anyway !!

As for VCS taking it back from elms , we told you so , nothing untoward there

Frankly , I would sit back , keep checking MCOL weekly until the second claim was allocated , check the same court is used for both , then write an email to the court asking for consolidation of both claims !!

Is , concentrate on what matters , we what transpires , no knee jerk reactions until you obtain all of the facts. You do realise that VCS read these forums and just like me they can see who is panicking !!

You only filed both DQ 2 weeks ago. !! These wheels turn very , very slowly !!

I'm surprised you survived a judgment in default on this claim as you were actually too late in submitting the AOS. Possibly VCS took their eye off the ball, or it was temporarily 'lost' in the melee of the handover from Elms back to VCS.

You could still call the CCBC and get your mind set at rest.

Ok , so first thing to notice is that you have followed all the steps required of you ask far , but the claimant hasn't. But your claim one AOS was late , so you were very lucky there

Claim 1 , no DQ filed by claimant , so it's in limbo awaiting their response , whereas claim 2 they did file it so the CCBC transferred that one to the local court , but only that one

You have nothing to do , VCS do , their problem. , Not yours !! It's a game of Spot the difference

You haven't said if the local court is the one on your DQ , or a different one further away !!

And why does it matter which is used when you will be at home !! The distance Or time factor is irrelevant !!

It's only one week since both DQ were filed by you , sometimes these Matters drag on for weeks !
