Looks like it is time to download the DQ as mentioned in "Newbies" = from forum member "System"Just looking at the wording at the bottom of post, and if it is still 20+ weeks before any court date
Thanks again . . .Filling out the form
A1 = Say NO to mediation (they want the whole amount, you want to pay them nothing, so no scope for mediation. This will not go against you). Mediation is run by a commercial company on behalf of the courts and their success is measured by how many cases are kept out of court. They are not interested in the merits of the case, only whether you will pay or not. So say No.
B = fill in all the details, your name, your address, etc. This is the address that all the paperwork will be sent to. If you are moving home within 6 months make sure you have mail redirection in place. You will get a default CCJ if the paperwork doesn't get to you as the Courts see it as your responsibility to give a correct address.
C1 = YES to small claims track – this is the limited costs track for claims up to £10,000 in value
D1 = name of your local County Court – unless you are a Limited company, the case files will be transferred there. They will ask for theirs but protocol dictates it is your court. For example, MIL Collections always asks for Truro and Devere Parking always ask for Bournemouth. You, literally, do not want to go there.
D2 = NO to expert evidence (this relates to medical negligence cases and suchlike)
D3 = 1 witness (that’s you) (or more if you are going to get another person to provide a statement)
D4 = Put down the dates of any pre-booked holidays, NO to interpreter (unless you need one)
You send a copy to the courts and another copy to the Claimant company. Keep a copy for yourself. As mentioned before, there is a long delay (20+ weeks) between this form and an actual day in court.

Yes there is months to go yet as the courts are busy and you have WS and evidence stage to get past before the hearing happens.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello again,I was wondering if this might be a good sign . . . mediation form from them, or is it just the norm, and of no significance at all? Many thanks again . . .

Quite normal and, if you have been following the NEWBIE sticky "Know what happens and when" you would know to expect this DQ - N180 and that you should have one of your own to complete. It should come from CCBC but you can download one and complete it. Do not fail to file and serve your own DQ.4

Have you done the Government Consultation yet? Far more important than showing us template letters from BW Legal that are on every thread and you don’t need to ask about.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

G'day all,Looks like i might be finding considerable spare time i didn't anticipate recently, that might get me on to the "Government Consultation" item at last . . . having suddenly just been confined to a wheelchair/crutches in past month with severe/chronic Arthritis/Osteoarthritis.Therefore missing my only Daughters wedding on Mainland on 23/9, whilst i was the only one left behind on the I-O-W sucking my thumb, as couldn't do ferry travel :-( WOW when life throws it at you, it doesn't mess about.Just thought i would mention the above first, as i am sure some members on here think people just disappear/drop off the planet, for no apparent reason? If any forum members on here do not wish to reply to my/any questions i may now start to post again, that is fine, and if replied/helped me before, then i thank you for that. I understand perfectly this is a voluntary and very helpful site/forum, and nobody is obliged to do anything they do not wish to.Attached is my latest pleasure to read from the postman, and i have only just read it, so a bit more thoroughly i think in the morning would do me a favour. I need to give some thought i think to the "Frustration of Contract" i will have mentioned in my letter to the court/MCOL?Genuinely many thanks once again . . .
Genuinely many thanks once again . . .

too late for the government consultation , its closed last friday at middaythat letter means Judge Grand wants the claimant ( not you the defendant , think about it ) to provide more info about the faulty machine allegation and what the actual alleged contravention actually was , to you and to the court by next week, then a judge (possibly Judge Grand) will make a decision as to if it goes forward or gets struck outsit and wait for that reply by the claimant3

Firstly, may i just say thanks for reply and pointing out the (obvious now) fact that it is written to the Claimant, and not myself. I will admit, this has to have been about the worst month or 2 of my life
And secondly that i never got around to contacting/taking a deeper interest/involvement in the government consultation etc (Sorry Coupon-mad, i know you want to throw something at me)I may have lost my legs until op on 14/9, but thankfully all my marbles are still in the jar . . . and i am still just as reluctant to give away any of my money to a bunch of "peg sellers"So in between nodding off and on with my daily "meds" . . . . i shall delve a bit more in to parking forums (wealth of information) and maybe see if this "frustration of contract" may or not play a part in my case/defense
And as you say Redx . . . "watch this space" "sit and wait for that reply by the claimant"Can't thank you all enough again, not just for your time, but also for your patience. It must be hard not to think "are all builders this (^*(&*%%*((&$ stupid"Kindest regards . . . me
