Your Defence only becomes 'too late' if, after the deadline date, the Claimant seeks a Default Judgment before you actually file a Defence. So it looks like you are ok on that score.

Now you need to know which Defence was rejected and which Defence was subsequently received.

I think you still need to contact the CCBC as I said earlier...
I would suggest you phone the CCBC - number on your Claim Form - and try and ensure that they actually use a full version of your Defence.

It would be nice to think that the CCBC has rejected the shortened version, but you need to know and maybe even try to persuade them to accept a good version if that's necessary.

Many thanks KeithP, just got to nip out, and i shall do that upon my return this morning,
Regards  . .  .  Still want to add name ;)

It is your lucky day!  Nice to hear that news.

Now please do read the section under 'IMPORTANT - KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN' (the red heading in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread).  Defence is not your only job and the next form, N180, is all explained there too.  And WS and evidence stage.

Standard fodder. Is that not included in the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post?

    Hello again,

Around the same time i realised a Parking Ticket/B W Legal letters etc had been sent to me, i went on the internet and saw the Money Saving Expert site which contained something called "Resolver" which i/we here at home thought might be worth filling in and trying out to see what will happen.

Having never done anything like it before, the next thing we saw was this site, also from MSE, and then began enquiring on here. The odd thing is now, after getting in touch with this "Resolver" it is now messaging that i could in 2 days appeal to POPLA?

Having only just seen this 2 day message on the website, i have copied it on to all i have ever used "Wordpad" and it hasn't come out very clearly at all  :o

I will look up the POPLA situation now, and if i am even bothering with it (suppose better i look before making any rash comments/decisions)

You are way past a PoPLA appeal. It just isn't possible now you have a live court claim. The ADR Regulations 2015 say an alternative independent appeals process should be available for up to one year, but parking companies are unregulated so won't do this.
It is in the draft mandatory code of practice, and the PPCs are whinging about it, but hopefully it will be incorporated.
In any case, PoPLA isn't independent.

Forget Resolver. A judge is the only person now who can resolve this.

Resolver is useless for parking cases.

You can't do POPLA at BW Legal stage, let alone after a claim has been filed!
