I never thought of Screwfix, to be honest we have a Machine Mart 15 or so miles away, possibly closers, it's the time it takes to get there etc, just think ordering online will be easier. However I will try Screwfix first, thanks for that EllideeOne day I might be more organised...........

Got the evening off work and it feels really odd being at home. Don't know what to do with myself!
Just helped DD wrap a couple of presents (cut sellotape, held paper). She's nipped out to deliver one. I cooked at lunchtime so it will just be a sandwich when DH gets in (about 7.15), either before or after Corrie!
Did a bit more mending this afternoon while watching Harry Potter.
Need to get small bedroom cleared on Sunday. DD has it full of presents at the moment but DS is coming home for Christmas so he will need to get to the bed0 -
Evening ladies.
Just having 5 minutes will the kitchen floor dries - it was sticky so have given it a quick mop. Don't feel I am getting at all far today.
We have friends for dinner tomorrow night. I have made one lot of soup, roasted tom and pepper as I had lots of peppers to use - I don't like that soup though so hope the others do. Might make another lentil one, never done that one before but it will use up some of the other ingredients I have.
I have finished the bathroom, done my dalies and stripped DS2 bed and that is it. I need to do some accounts tonight - when I saw the CC statement yesterday my first thought was somebody has cloned my card! I had forgotten that it had house insurance, car insurance, 2 new tyres, OH monthly railcard and centre parks on it as well as Christmas.
Floor dry - need to turn the mound of sausages I am cooking for DS3 to take to football xmas party tomorrow.
Hope to be back laterThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Well I'm finally cracking on with some Xmas cards. Why do most of them need a personal message or even a letter ? I can't seem to get away with just signing them so it takes aaaages. Aargh :wall:Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I'm still alive.. I read a REALLY depressing book this morning.. gorged pink fudge.. had a mad sugar rush.. ate some pies.. made some tea.. cooked dinner stuffed grubs in bed and am off to the pub.. on another sugar high I think.. WWWWHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
It was DD4's nativity today.. she is the cutest thing.. I have pics when I get them off the camera.. which is upstairs.. ggrrr...
I have decided if my sis can't get Thursday off work to take Tiddles to the nursery party and stay with her I'll go.. I am not doing anything else and am just being lazy and Tiddles would love it.. and most of the children really like me which is mad.. I ended up dressing 5 children when I went to dres DD4 earlier after her nativiy.. it was funny I turned around and there was a little boy wearing just his vest waiting for me to finish because he wanted me to dress him.. bless!!
My HUUUUUUUUGE lush order came.. I have a pic of that for you too.. it was funny!!
I got the pc bits, the barbie throne and some other bits of swag as well.. thanks to everyone whose cards I received today.. they are in the other room and I've forgotten who they were from offhand.. My nails look terribly festive as well.. and I've decided that we are still going out next Friday and possibly Saturday too.. I don't care if we do have loads to do... I'm going anyway!! anarchist that I am!

Just noticed Panasonic breadmaker half price at Amazon on grabbit board and I've ordered one. Hope this helps someone else.
You are a total star! We've been after a bread maker since ours broke earlier this year but they're just too expensive. I had £30 back from quidsco so it's this one has only really cost me a tenner. Thanks so much for sharing this brilliant offer xxJanuary budget

Evening
Just got charlie in bed. I don't think he was quite ready to go, but never mind - i was.
My day has got steadily worse. Some plonker of a kid held a staple gun to my head in lesson. So that is two lots of abuse from the delightful teenagers i teach in as many days. I think he was joking around, but there was no apology at the time, and it really shook me up thinking about what if he had fired it into my face. I still had my lesson to teach after that as well, but i basically sat and did nothing for about 1 hour after school.
My hands are really sore too from cleaning and the cold. They are all cracked and bleeding. So i am going to sulk and go on strike for the night. Think i deserve it. May even succumb to a wine and soda water with my dinner.
Anyway, i am going to chill out a bit now, and think of my list:
Saturday:- buy grandad and step-gran xmas presents
- wrap them
- take them to my parents along with xmas cards so dad can deliver them for me
- go to Halfords - buy screenwash and a [strike]new scraper[/strike] for the car DH's boss got a scraper for free, and gave it me - bonus
- go to ASDA - get SP fabric conditioner, some mayo, and [strike] some nappies [/strike] ordered from wilkos online via quidco
, plus bits for the week.
- get DH to check out my wing mirror/fix if he can
- go to sisters to pick up childrens bed she is giving me
- put said bed in garage
- take bags of rubbish to the tip
- hoover all of downstairs
- have another wrapping session
- wash my hair
- [strike]wash ours[/strike] and charlie's bedding
- wash a load of bathroom towels
- try to cut charlie's hair with the clippers
- wrap more xmas presents while watching saturday night telly, or perhaps even the rental DVD we have
- complete student loan update form
- more xmas shopping - try and get the in-laws done and perhaps something else for my dad, [strike]plus my aunty[/strike]
- remove some of toys from living room
- get a xmas tree
- decorate xmas tree
- get DH to read water meter and send that off
- write close family xmas cards so i can take them to parents house
- mark y8 books and get stickers in
- mark y9 books and get stickers in
- copy y9 SAT papers marks into markbook and give them grades
- plan lessons for Mon x4
- mark y10 books
- review 9LI scheme
- review 7H scheme
- do the ironing for the week
- do some more washing of anything i spot that needs doing
- hoover all of upstairs
Ooooh - just cheered myself up - DH should have my bettys by post order that should have been delivered today, so that will be the xmas pud and cake sorted. Pricey but so tasty and worth it.
Right - off to sit on the sofa and lounge around. Rest this evening - work tomorrow.

I have survived my week, but it really was just survival. I am so tired, I keep oversleeping and getting to work a lot later than I like. I am going to do as much as possible this weekend to make the last three days of work easier. Once work is over I will decide what is possible before Christmas! I'll make my list in a moment. :T to the littleys who have done so well in concerts and plays, what a great moment! I am going to pour myself a glass of wine, after I go and put my DD to bed for the fifth time......
