Would love to be able to finish my Christmas shopping (I'm just in the mood) today but funds don't allow, I also owe DD1 a chunk so that's my fam allowance spoken for this month which in turn means my DD's aren't covered for the 1st - it's so much fun!
I could borrow out of some savings littley has to cover everything and take the stress away, but I'm in two minds, I don't really want to tbh, even though it will be put back again, what do you guys think?
For my tupenneth I would borrow the money, the stress is not worth it and if you wanted to salve your concious you could repay it with a bit extra for the interest that she would lose while you borrow it. When I have been short of cash (until I could get to the bank) A has immediately gone to her piggybank and lent me what I needed even though I have said I don't need her to do that..Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Morning all
Haven't been around to post as I've been rushed off my feet but I've been doing my best to keep up with the lists and the gossipHugs to all!!!
Hoping to finish off the Christmas shopping today as we're away for Christmas at OH's parents so we're having Christmas with my family next Saturday!
Looking forward to Monday as we make the final payment on the bank loan:j Then we just have to clear the credit cards & overdrafts
Right. Need to go and get sorted as we're going into the town centre shopping!:eek:
Just in case I don't get back on here in the near future

Thanks AnW, I would of course give her back a bit extra to cover loss of interest and then some. Still not sure though lol
Just made up DD1's hamper, I used a basket I already had to save money, it's lovely but massive, everything looks a little lost
Made the beds, brought pressies down for wrapping, emptied HW bottle, TD x 1 done. Gonna do the wrapping now whilst they're all out.
Edit: Nicki!! lovely to hear from you, all the best to you and yours and a very happy christmas.0 -
Morning friends for that is how I see you all
I am busy all day like you lot but just thought I'd pop in.
Tia - enjoy the feeling of today and may it stay with you
Michelle - Hope you slept ok and that you have a restful weekend
Em - borrow the money, we know you will pay it back and write a note down. My DS2 will always lend me cash and is good at remembering to ask for it back.
AnW'smum - putting my tree up today aswell so will think of you and A and W whilst doing it
Everybody else have a happy day and spread some goodwill (i'm finding that tough as AF is due her visit and I feel like being mean to anything that speaks) xxThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Gosh, wrapping pressies is so time consuming isn't it  I've only done 10 and it's taken me an hour. That's everything I've bought up to now wrapped (apart from the hamper stuff) so I feel better now I'm on top of it.
Postie came :j with my DVD's and my card from shell, Thank You x and DD1's DVD I'd ordered from HMV, if I didn't know any better I'd say he was storing them all up for today
Dusty and AnW Enjoy decorating your trees, and thanks for the advice, Still not convinced lol I'm due a visit from AF too, that's why I'm feeling like I am, a miserable bad tempered b*tchgawd help anyone that looks at me the wrong way I'll either rip their heads off or cry all over them
had to turn the xmas tunes off cause I started blubbing
Brew time.....0 -
My TD's just had a good kicking
it's not drying properly, nothing's blocked, it wasn't full and yet it chooses what it wants to dry and what it doesn't, it's a conspiracy I tell ya! it's been plotting with my hoover.
Got some happy music on and a brew in hand YAY I will be happy....I will!0 -
AnWsMum if you find yours check mine isn't with it, it ran off with Tia's now she has hers back but mines still missing!
Dusty & AnWsMum enjoy doing your trees, wish I had done mine later in a way as I have had to redo most of it every week. Between kids arms and dogs tails the decorations don't have much hope in staying on! Oh and removing Megan's hair from the tree etc aswell as she keeps rubbing against it, keep noticing we have a furry tree.
nicki, thank you for posting, rach etc said you were fine but I was a little worried, great to hear from you and hope you and your family have a great Christmas, well done with the loan repaymentmust be a relief! Oh and good luck with shopping!
Michelle I had to have a giggle at what the little boy said about you getting fat :rotfl: my son would likely say something very similar. When my friend was expecting Matthew he told her 'Shouldn't have babies they make you fat and sick, just buy one instead'
Tia, Happy Debt Free Day, you've done great, well done!
Right, made myself do a lo of washing, fill dishwasher & start, vacuum through downstairs and have a quick dust over before I went in the shower. Not planning on leaving the house today, Dad isn't coming over as he isn't well so I think laundry catch up & few bits I missed through the week, I am sure I did the cobweb removal in the sitting room but just spotted a huge 'outdoor spider' web, so I think I will do that next. Need to tidy my room as it's a tip of dumped baskets and boxes from when my Mam stayed, then I can vacuum the whole floor not just where I can see
I think I just need to buy one present now, still waiting for a couple to arrive, but without my list I am lostOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning everyone:santa2:
I've had such a busy week and next week is even busier, loads of appointments as well as more christmas shopping.
DS2 is being such a pain, he got up at half 2 this morning and then again at 5 so i'm knackered today.
The house lookes like the clutter fairy's have come in during the night, make that every night this week.
So big plan's for today is flying and i'm not leaving the house today at all.
Oh nearly forgot, got news from the grants people yesterday and the paper work is done and is being sent out so i can give it to the artutect(sp). So everything is moving in the right direction
Hope everyone is well and taking it easy, big hugs to everyone:grouphug:
Right better go and get dressedstuff it cuppa first.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
vanilla great news that things are going the right way, hugs for the being woken, I was 4 times last night aswell, oh and that is terrible not being dressed yet ( at least I put a dressing gown on
) Positive thoughts sent your way to help with the clutter removal, give that fairy a kick if you find her because she's been up to the same in my room.
One day I might be more organised...........
